    Loved this experience!...

Loved this experience! The crew was friendly and helpful. They were great at explaining the techniques to us novices and we caught lots of fish (only one was large enough for us to keep, but we still had fun). The weather was great. One in our party found out about seasickness, but the crew took care of him too. All in all a great time and a relaxing cruise to and from our fishing spots!

    Boys trip success

I booked this for a boys trip on our family vacation (this is not a boys only event, everyone is welcome, that’s just what I chose to do). Let me tell you all the men and boys came back smiling ear to ear, with a list of other experiences voyager offers added to their bucket list!! They absolutely loved it, great bonding experience and confidence builder to catch, bring home and filet dinner for the family the experience extended beyond the boat. (They will clean and filet in the boat for you but my boys wanted to do it themselves) we will definitely be booking again!!

I was literally afraid for my life and everyone else on board

While I was aware of the rain upon arrival, I trusted that the captain and crew would advise us to reschedule if conditions were unsafe. Unfortunately, that did not happen. The decision to go out on the ocean under such terrible conditions put the lives of my family and several other families in danger. Wind conditions were way too high for us to be on the water. The experience was traumatic, and at least 90% of the passengers became ill including a crew member. Although we were issued a voucher to book another trip, the company did not address the severe distress we experienced. Given the circumstances, we do not feel safe returning to the water with the same crew. After I emailed they responded only to say that we could mail the vouchers back for a full refund. While I appreciate the refund, I am still looking for accountability regarding the dangerous conditions we were subjected to. Our experience was highly traumatic, and I hope this situation is being reviewed seriously to ensure it does not happen to other families.

Check the weather before you go!

My son and I went on a cloud, rainy at times day. Started out ok although it does take over an hour to reach the actual fishing spot. Once we hit the ocean things turned very bad. This trip should have never went out. The ocean was so rough, the swells were huge, the boat was almost on its side, then up and down. We were never told where life vests were but I was seriously considering putting one on my son. Yet we kept going further out to the spot but once we got there most of the passengers and one crew were sick including myself and my son. People were smashing into each other, coolers were smashing into people. The people who were able to try fishing were not able to, could not hold still, lines got tangled under the boat as soon as they went out. Thankfully captain did then take us back after 10 min of being out there. There has to be a way to see how rough the ocean is before going all the way out there. It was horrible. First we were given rain checks, I called the number because I knew we would never be coming back, the lady was rude, but I did take the ticket back as she said and did end up getting my money back, which is the only reason it was 3 stars.

    Good trip

Everything was great. I recommend bring your own drinks if you want something specific. Get there super early. My family of 7 couldn't find a place to sit together. That's the only bad part. We got there 45 min early.

Mid-Day Deep Sea Fishing in Myrtle Beach: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Myrtle Beach.

How much does Mid-Day Deep Sea Fishing in Myrtle Beach cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Myrtle Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mid-Day Deep Sea Fishing in Myrtle Beach take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Myrtle Beach is not rushed.

Is Mid-Day Deep Sea Fishing in Myrtle Beach worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Myrtle Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mid-Day Deep Sea Fishing in Myrtle Beach?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Mid-Day Deep Sea Fishing in Myrtle Beach suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mid-Day Deep Sea Fishing in Myrtle Beach?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Myrtle Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Myrtle Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mid-Day Deep Sea Fishing in Myrtle Beach start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Myrtle Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Myrtle Beach?

    +

Myrtle Beach runs dolphin cruises, deep sea fishing charters, helicopter flights over the Grand Strand, and low country day trips to Charleston and Brookgreen Gardens. Charter boat size and included gear are the deciding factors offshore. On Outty we rank every Myrtle Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour, The Escape Game at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, Music and Memories at Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Myrtle Beach?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Myrtle Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
