Not what we expected
Not at all what we expected. We drove the entire time and she talked non stop without letting anyone ask questions. We never really saw anything. Drove by and had to look thru trees. Not a good one.
Response from the operator: I’m so sorry that this usually delightful tour was not up to its normal standards. Our first stop at Brookgreen Gardens, I was notified just before the tour, was under renovation and we were not able to go inside. For the next time this tour runs, we will be able to. We make three stops on this tour normally. However, on the day that you took it, the heat wave was so severe that no one wanted to get out at the third stop. This was a very unusual experience in that the stops and the drive time or more well balanced. There is ample time to ask questions at the stops and more than enough at the stop that we made. I’m so sorry that you were left with questions.

Fun tour!!!
This is a narrated tour of stories of local ghosts, historic figures, pirates, and artists and how they are all associated with each other. Tour guide was super knowledgeable and an effective storyteller. Very interesting stories! Trolley car was well air conditioned and driver was a true chauffeur. One may consider bringing a cushion to sit for enhanced comfort on the quaint trolley bench seating.
Response from the operator: Yes, we tell everyone the evening before that they may want to bring that pillow to enhance their comfort. Thank you so much for being a part of this experience.

This is our 2nd time on this trolley, the first time we had a medical emergency and they were amazing! On this, our second go around, they were very welcoming and even hugged my husband glad he is ok! Amazing tour driver and storytelling!

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Myrtle Beach Area Ghosts, Pirates and Historic Families Trolley Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Myrtle Beach.
How much does Myrtle Beach Area Ghosts, Pirates and Historic Families Trolley Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Myrtle Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Myrtle Beach Area Ghosts, Pirates and Historic Families Trolley Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Myrtle Beach is not rushed.
Is Myrtle Beach Area Ghosts, Pirates and Historic Families Trolley Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 77 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Myrtle Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Myrtle Beach Area Ghosts, Pirates and Historic Families Trolley Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Myrtle Beach Area Ghosts, Pirates and Historic Families Trolley Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Myrtle Beach Area Ghosts, Pirates and Historic Families Trolley Tour?
+
Around 27 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Myrtle Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Myrtle Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Myrtle Beach Area Ghosts, Pirates and Historic Families Trolley Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Myrtle Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Myrtle Beach?
+
Myrtle Beach runs dolphin cruises, deep sea fishing charters, helicopter flights over the Grand Strand, and low country day trips to Charleston and Brookgreen Gardens. Charter boat size and included gear are the deciding factors offshore. On Outty we rank every Myrtle Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Waccamaw River Nature and Wildlife Tour, The Escape Game at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, Music and Memories at Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Myrtle Beach?
+
April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Myrtle Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
