A must visit when in Memphis
It was amazing to stand where some of the greats in music have recorded, everyone from Elvis to U2. Drew was our guide and he was very entertaining and informative.

Sun Records Studio Highlight of Memphis Visit
Spent 3 days in Memphis with family over teenage granddaughter’s Spring Break. We all enjoyed the Sun Studio tour and, for me, a former DJ it was the highlight of our trip. If you are fortunate to have tour guide Hurley, you’ll be in for a real treat. This young man knows his stuff and is highly entertaining in his presentation.

Mike Rocks!
When we arrived to Memphis there was a severe rain alert happening (all four days😞)and Mike was still willing and working to help us have the best tour ever. We drove around the city and he provided great knowledge &history. It was great to get a tour from someone that’s lived in Memphis their whole life. He was witty and friendly and this tour because of Mike was well worth the money. Highly recommend this tour before you go out and explore. It’s a great foundation to all the sites in Memphis. Thank Mike!!!

His local knowledge and friendly, witty personality truly make a difference, and it’s wonderful to know you felt it was well worth the investment. We’re thrilled that the tour helped lay the foundation for your time in Memphis. We hope the rest of your trip was just as enjoyable. We will be sure to pass on your thanks to Mike! Too much detail
As Elvis-fans we enjoyed seeing Graceland, the mansion. Thee VIP tour was too long and detailed, spending too much attention to irrelevant artefacten!

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Memphis 3.5h Walking Tour with Beale Street & Sun Studio: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Memphis.
How much does Memphis 3.5h Walking Tour with Beale Street & Sun Studio cost?
+
Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Memphis usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Memphis 3.5h Walking Tour with Beale Street & Sun Studio take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Memphis is not rushed.
Is Memphis 3.5h Walking Tour with Beale Street & Sun Studio worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Memphis, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Memphis 3.5h Walking Tour with Beale Street & Sun Studio?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Memphis 3.5h Walking Tour with Beale Street & Sun Studio suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Memphis 3.5h Walking Tour with Beale Street & Sun Studio?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Memphis can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Memphis and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Memphis 3.5h Walking Tour with Beale Street & Sun Studio start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Memphis within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Memphis?
+
Memphis is music and food: Graceland with VIP access tiers, Sun Studio and Stax, Beale Street blues crawls, National Civil Rights Museum visits and barbecue tours through the pits. Graceland ticket tiers are confusing, so we weight clear inclusions. On Outty we rank every Memphis experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Memphis Mojo Bus Tour, Taste of Downtown Memphis Food Tour, Memphis Signature Guided Brewery Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Memphis?
+
March to May and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Memphis?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
