Crosstown Brewing
Crosstown Brewing was founded by eager homebrewer Will Goodwin and Clark Ortkiese in 2018. The brewery uses beer and good cheer to strengthen the community. The location of their brewery sits adjacent to the old Sears Crosstown building built in 1927 and sadly sat empty for years and fell into disrepair. In 2017 if was renovated and returned to service as a vertical urban village, the Crosstown Concourse. It houses a grocery store, several restaurants, retail stores, offices, a YMCA, a high school, a post office… and of course right next to Crosstown Brewery.

Fabulous time savoring some great craft beers!
We had the absolute best time on our city brew tour with Brian! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about craft beer and he made the tour so much fun! Over the last 20 years, we have gone on many food, beer, distillery, winery and ghost tours. This was by far the best experience we have had. Brian was intentional about reaching out prior to the tour with additional information needed for the brewery tour. He also gave us great recommendations for different restaurants and neighborhoods to explore in the Memphis area. Don’t miss this tour when you’re visiting Memphis! Next time we are in the area, we will go on another tour with Brian for sure!
Response from the operator: OMG, thank you so much. I loved hanging out with you guys and talking beer, food, music and more. It was a great, great tour. Please look me up next time you are in town! Hope you liked the BBQ Spagetti.

Would do again in a Heartbeat 💗
This tour was well worth the price. There were only four of us, and tour operator was extremely nice. He was very knowledgeable about the beer making process, and gave us a step by step of how different beers are made. We sampled a lot of beers, and went to three different breweries. He even; dropped us off at our hotel. This is a tour I can truly recommend.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the great review and I am so glad you had a good time. Safe travels and cheers!

From beginning to end, this tour was outstanding. My brother, nephew and I really enjoyed the tour. Brian was very informative, knowledgeable and humorous. He knows the history of beer, beer making and how this industry has been a large staple in the Memphis, TN area. I will keep this tour in mind for when family and friends come to visit Memphis, TN.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much. I really loved meeting you and your family. It was great fun talking beer, food and just hanging out! Hope to see you on a tour again!

Why this scores 84
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Memphis Signature Guided Brewery Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Memphis.
How much does Memphis Signature Guided Brewery Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Memphis usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Memphis Signature Guided Brewery Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Memphis is not rushed.
Is Memphis Signature Guided Brewery Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 204 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Memphis, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Memphis Signature Guided Brewery Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Memphis Signature Guided Brewery Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Memphis Signature Guided Brewery Tour?
+
Around 71 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Memphis can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Memphis and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Memphis Signature Guided Brewery Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Memphis within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Memphis?
+
Memphis is music and food: Graceland with VIP access tiers, Sun Studio and Stax, Beale Street blues crawls, National Civil Rights Museum visits and barbecue tours through the pits. Graceland ticket tiers are confusing, so we weight clear inclusions. On Outty we rank every Memphis experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Memphis Mojo Bus Tour, Taste of Downtown Memphis Food Tour, Memphis Discovery Tour with Riverboat Cruise on Mississippi River. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Memphis?
+
March to May and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Memphis?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
