Amazing Zip Line
Arianny and Daniel ere absolutely fantastic! Arianny provides so much cultural insight and makes you feel a part of a family. While Daniel took amazing pictures and let us hold coco the parrot. I definitely would recommend this wonderful experience plus it was my first time on a zip line which was more than I ever expected. Thanks to the entire team; it made my experience awesome!

Best Tour Guide - Juana
She was amazing. She made jokes and really showed us what it means to be in Dominican Republic. We took photos and had fun! Would highly recommend Juana!

wonderful experience
This was a ton of fun. Its about a 30 minute drive from the Amber Cove cruise port in funky open-air buses. They have quite a number of guides who help with gear and several are on each platform for safety. You need to squat down and cross your legs, unlike some places I've gone where you can take a running start and really fly. There is a lot of climbing the high towers, so be prepared. After that, a guide takes you around the farm and neat plants like pineapple, mango, etc. They finished with a nice taste of real chocolate drink. very nice people there.

Great experience for first time ziplining family!
This was a terrific experience! There was a 20 minute open window truck ride through the town to the country. The guide provided a lot of interesting information on the way there. At the zipline place, they were efficient in getting you geared up and on your way. I (51) went with my daughters (15 and 17). None of us had ziplined before. The first platform had a lot of stairs to climb, but not so much that you had to stop to catch your breath. There were very few steps after that. There were 6 lines total, and most went through the forest. They were high-ish, but not scary high. It was definitely a good experience for our first time. I did hear of someone else on the cruise that ziplined through waterfalls, which would be neat. This tour did not have any waterfalls. After the zipline tour, we had time to shop in a small store, meet a woman who was making chocolate, and eat some local fruit. Afterwards, you could purchase pictures from the experience. They were high quality, and you receive many. At first I wasn't going to buy them because they were expensive, but then the photographer bargained with me. After hearing what other people paid, I could have continued to bargain.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for visiting us and taking the time to leave us a review!! We hope to have you back in the future for more MEGA ADVENTURES together! It was our pleasure!

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Mega Zip and Ride in Dominican Countryside: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Plata.
How much does Mega Zip and Ride in Dominican Countryside cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Plata usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Mega Zip and Ride in Dominican Countryside take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Plata is not rushed.
Is Mega Zip and Ride in Dominican Countryside worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 73 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Plata, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Mega Zip and Ride in Dominican Countryside?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Mega Zip and Ride in Dominican Countryside suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Mega Zip and Ride in Dominican Countryside?
+
Around 26 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Plata can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Plata and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Mega Zip and Ride in Dominican Countryside start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Plata within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Plata?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Plata experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Monkeyland and Zipline Adventure from Puerto Plata, Monkeyland Puerto Plata, Puerto Plata Highlights City Tours from amber cove and Taino bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Plata?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Plata?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
