    Great tour!

Our driver Taz was great! He has a great personality and is also very informative about the history of the island!

    Cabbing and Cruising through Cozumel

Taz was a fantastic guide! He had loads of local information and was mindful of the timeframe we had before we needed to return to our cruise ship. He even thoughtfully provided bottled water after for our time between locations. We fit in tequila tasting which was smooth, organic, and family owned and operated. This was followed by a guided tour of the Mayan Ruins with a local docent who was passionate and knowledgeable about the entire Mayan history. We finished our tour with a snorkeling tour and Taz connected us with a guide who pointed out all the colorful sea life identifying the various species of fish and who patiently helped our group of first timers have an incredible experience. Our time was capped by fresh fish tacos on the beach overlooking the aquamarine waters. 10/10 would call Taz for our next Cozumel adventure!

Response from the operator: Wow! thank you so much for taking the time to share this! It truly means the world to us. It was an absolute pleasure spending the day with you all. I’m so happy we were able to fit in a little bit of everything! culture, history, ocean time, and of course great local food. That’s exactly the experience we love creating for our guests. Thank you as well for trusting us with your time while you were in port. We know how valuable cruise time is! Hope to see you soon

Anywhere Taz takes us, I'll Go!!

Oh wow is the best description! Our tour guide, Taz, was absolutely fantastic! The tour included so much more, TAZ! He is a wealth of interesting knowledge of this beautiful island. You can tell he truly wants each of the passengers to have their best day ever. The ruins were pure magical and breathtaking! Hacienda Antigua, lol interesting and fun! Ended our day with a delicious lunch and a little laziness on the beach. I highly recommend going ANYWHERE with Taz!!

Great Day in Cozumel Mayan Ruins/lunch & Tequila Tasting

We booked the Mayan Tour/lunch/ and Tequila tasting with Viator for Cozumel. We were pleased with our driver, Gerado who picked us up exactly where we needed to be. He was not JUST a driver but very informative as we rode to the ruins. He introduced us to the owner who introduced us to our guide, Pedro. Pedro was amazing and gave just the 4 of us in our group a private tour, avoiding the crowds and making our day memorable. When I mentioned I loved the Hibiscus, he picked one for me to put in my hair!!!! Lunch was slow but they were very busy and waiter apologized over and over. We were late but they squeezed us into the tequila tasting and still got us back to the ship on time. Would highly recommend this experience.

Response from the operator: It's fantastic to hear that Gerado, your driver, played a key role in ensuring your trip started off on a positive note. We are proud to have informative and dedicated team members like him. We are pleased that Pedro, your guide, made the tour memorable with a private and personalized experience, steering clear of crowds. His thoughtful gesture of picking a Hibiscus for you truly adds a special touch to your day. We appreciate your understanding about the wait during lunch, and we're glad to hear that the tequila tasting still became a part of your experience, ensuring you made it back to the ship on time. Thank you for highly recommending this experience, and we look forward to welcoming you back for more unforgettable adventures in the future. Warm regards,

Mayan Ruins and Beach Time: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.

How much does Mayan Ruins and Beach Time cost?

    +

Prices start at $152 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mayan Ruins and Beach Time take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.

Is Mayan Ruins and Beach Time worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mayan Ruins and Beach Time?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mayan Ruins and Beach Time suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mayan Ruins and Beach Time?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mayan Ruins and Beach Time start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cozumel?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cozumel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cozumel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
