About this experience
***Please note that in the summer months to ensure you have the most comfortable experience we spend one night in the Berber style camp, start our excursion to the nomads and surrounding area a bit later in the morning and stay the second night in a hotel at the edge of the dunes (Riad Chebbi or similar). We do this so that you have access to aircon and other hotel comforts in the heat of the summer which can sometimes be well over 40°C (100°F)*** Our goal is to make sure that every experience we provide is unique and memorable for each of our travelers. We provide thoughtful excursions that are customizable to your interests. We are from Morocco and, specifically, from the desert so we are able to provide you with meaningful information about the culture and history of the areas we travel through and visit.

Memorable trip to the Sahara
This trip to Morocco with my wife for the 4-day, 3-night Sahara Desert Private Tour was truly unforgettable. It was booked by my son for me snd my wife based on his past experience of going to the Sahara Desert. Although the weather was extremely hot (honestly Summer is not the right season to visit Sahara), the tour company made excellent arrangements—the vehicle used during the trip was spacious and comfortable, and our driver, Ibrahim, provided warm, attentive, and professional service. He drove safely and gave explanations along the way, which made us feel at ease and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Since we did not plan to stay overnight at a desert camp in the high temperatures, the tour company arranged for us to stay in a more luxurious hotel room on the edge of the desert instead. The visits to local communities and nomadic settlements were also very interesting, and we never felt overcharged for activities like camel riding, etc. Overall, this tour was an incredible experience.

Sahara Desert Tour Experience
It was a great time! The Quading and camel rides were a lot of fun and the tours were super educational!

Camel/quad ride through the Sahara desert
My brother and I booked the 4 day 3 night Sahara experience. It was a very enjoyable experience, but if you are going during the hot summer months I would recommend doing 3 days and 2 nights as the extra day in the desert was extremely hot.

4 day desert tour
Decent experience considering only 4 days. Merzouga is gateway desert. Must go deeper to be surrounded by it
via Tripadvisor
Fantastic Sahara trip starting in Marrakesh and ending in Fez with two nights at the desert camp.
Most excellent experience in the desert. My guide Mohammed was fantastic! While they are long road days to get here from Marrakesh, to experience the desert is a must do. Having added the night, turning it from A three day to a four day trip leading from Marrakesh and ending in Frz was a good decision. The second day at the desert camp included a guided tour of surrounding areas, nomad camps, ancient digs and structures, including exploring surrounding culture. Many to all the members of the team that manage this experience.

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Marrakech to Merzouga: 4 Day Adventure with 2 Nights in Desert: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Marrakech to Merzouga: 4 Day Adventure with 2 Nights in Desert cost?
+
Prices start at $236 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Marrakech to Merzouga: 4 Day Adventure with 2 Nights in Desert take?
+
Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Marrakech to Merzouga: 4 Day Adventure with 2 Nights in Desert worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 304 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Marrakech to Merzouga: 4 Day Adventure with 2 Nights in Desert?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Marrakech to Merzouga: 4 Day Adventure with 2 Nights in Desert suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Marrakech to Merzouga: 4 Day Adventure with 2 Nights in Desert?
+
Around 106 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Marrakech to Merzouga: 4 Day Adventure with 2 Nights in Desert start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, Agafay Desert Package, Quad Bike, Camel Ride and Dinner Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
