perfect tour

Response from the operator: Dear Ricardo, Thank you so much for your exceptional review and for your incredibly kind words! Your appreciation of his knowledge, calm manner, professionalism, and willingness to help means a great deal to us. We are especially grateful for your comments regarding our approach to tourism. Go for a walking tour if you can
Unfortunately not what we expected.. there was no walking done or any real kind of information given about Marrakech.. just a driver dropping us off places and telling us to go into other places and he’d pick us up again .. my initial thought was it would be a walking tour with history info given.. we later saw these kind of tours so maybe my bad for not realising.. driver didn’t really tell us anything
Response from the operator: Dear Helen, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not fully meet your expectations. We would, however, like to clarify an important point regarding the option booked. You selected our driver-only option rather than the tour option that includes a professional licensed guide. With the driver-only service, the driver's primary responsibility is to provide safe and comfortable transportation between the different attractions and to coordinate the pickup and drop-off points. The driver may provide general information about Marrakech and the places visited, but this service does not include detailed historical explanations or guided visits inside the monuments and Medina. A professional guide, on the other hand, accompanies guests on foot, provides detailed explanations about the history and culture of Marrakech, and guides them through the Medina and other sites. This is precisely why we offer a separate option that includes a professional licensed guide. For safety and logistical reasons, the driver cannot leave the vehicle and accompany guests during their visits, as his responsibility is to remain focused on driving, traffic conditions, and arranging the vehicle at the appropriate pickup points. The driver-only option is designed for travelers who prefer to explore the attractions independently while enjoying the convenience of private transportation between the different locations, without having to worry about navigating Marrakech or finding transportation. We are sorry if the distinction between these two options was not sufficiently clear at the time of booking, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve the way we describe our different services. Kind regards, Asmaa Idar MDFT By Deep Exp. Ev.

Exceptional tour of Marrakech with Idris
Wow Idris was outstanding. He was warm friendly and spoke great English. We told him the top places we’d like to see and what we were looking for in the market and he made it happen. He was very knowledgeable and made all the information very digestible and easy to understand. We visited the Jarden Majorelle, getting there for the 8:30/9am booking was fantastic as there were little crowds and we had a chance to take lovely photos. We then went onto the medersa ben youssef which was the highlight of our tour. We then walked through some markets and he took us to a place for homemade coffee on hot sand which was a fun authentic experience. We next went to the secret garden which again was beautiful and he had such knowledge about the history. We finished up in the main souks sermmarine and then the square of Jemaa El-Fnaa. We felt very safe with Idris and he wove his way throughout the market with ease and went at a comfortable place for us. I couldn’t recommend him more!!!!
Response from the operator: Dear Charlotte, Wow, thank you so much for such a wonderful and detailed review! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that you had such a memorable experience exploring Marrakech with Idris. He will be thrilled to know that his warmth, knowledge, and ability to tailor the tour to your interests made such a positive impression. It’s wonderful to hear that the early visit to the Majorelle Garden gave you the opportunity to enjoy it with fewer crowds, and that the Ben Youssef Madrasa became the highlight of your tour. We’re also glad that the walk through the markets, the traditional coffee prepared on hot sand, the Secret Garden, the souks, and Jemaa el-Fna gave you such a varied and authentic experience of Marrakech. Most importantly, we’re very happy to know that you felt safe and comfortable with Idris throughout the tour and that he adapted the pace to suit you. Providing a personalized experience like this is exactly what our private tours are about. Thank you again for your fantastic recommendation and for taking the time to share your experience in such detail. We will make sure Idris receives your lovely comments! Overall, this was a good...
Overall, this was a good tour. The guide was very nice. The garden portion could be visited without being part of this tour and is self-guided. Although there is air flowing in the van, it is not air conditioned. Lastly, the walk through the Medina / souks is not narrated and there is not time to actually do much shopping.
Response from the operator: Dear Laura, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that overall you enjoyed the tour and appreciated your guide. We would just like to clarify a few points that may also be helpful to future guests. Regarding the transportation, the minivan used for your tour is equipped with air conditioning. Passengers seated in the rear also have their own controls to adjust the airflow and temperature according to their comfort. It is possible that these controls were not clearly pointed out at the beginning of your tour, and we will remind our team to make sure this is explained whenever necessary. The Majorelle Garden can indeed be visited independently and the visit inside the garden itself is self-guided. Its inclusion in our tour allows guests to combine it conveniently with the other major highlights of Marrakech, with private transportation and a licensed guide accompanying them throughout the overall city experience. Regarding the Medina and souks, our guides normally share information about the history, traditions, crafts, and daily life of this fascinating part of Marrakech. When it comes to shopping, however, we deliberately try to respect each guest’s preferences. If guests do not express a particular interest in shopping, our guides generally avoid taking them from shop to shop, as we never want our guests to feel pressured or placed in an uncomfortable commercial situation. As this is a private tour, guests who would like more time for shopping, bargaining, or exploring particular sections of the souks are always welcome to mention this to their guide. The itinerary can usually be adapted accordingly. Thank you again for your constructive feedback. It helps us continue improving both our service and the way we communicate the flexibility available during our private tours. Warm regards, Asmaa Idar MDFT By Deep Exp. Ev.

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Marrakech: Private Guided Half-Day City Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Marrakech: Private Guided Half-Day City Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Marrakech: Private Guided Half-Day City Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Marrakech: Private Guided Half-Day City Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 1,511 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Marrakech: Private Guided Half-Day City Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Marrakech: Private Guided Half-Day City Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Marrakech: Private Guided Half-Day City Tour?
+
Around 529 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Marrakech: Private Guided Half-Day City Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, Agafay Desert Package, Quad Bike, Camel Ride and Dinner Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
