First time but not my last

I really enjoyed my experience today!! From the moment my driver (I'm sorry I have forgotten his name) picked me up at my hotel to the minute he,dropped me back off at my hotel! He wakes into the 'facility' with me and made sure I was checked in properly! The ladies who helped me with Hammam and also the massage we amazing. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire visit. I left feeling calm and at peace! Thank you for the opportunity to experience the practice of hamam in such a beautiful place!!

An experience! Not westernised

If you are after the real Morrocco then this is for you but if you do not speak Arabic and are not comfortable with non-westernised spa facilities than this is not for you. Pick up and transfer were great, quick and direct. On arrival we were taken upstairs and told in very very broken English (the advert says English speakers) to remove all of our clothing, including briefs. We were taken to a private room with a slab and although private please make sure that you are comfortable with the people you’re with - there is nothing left to the imagination. The first staff member that ‘scrubbed us down’ had no eye contact and no English - she did not attempt to inform us of what she was about to do, and just ‘got on with the job’. After what felt like a lifetime of watching your friends being scrubbed and exfoliated on a slab in front of you, and then taking your own turn we were ‘washed down’ with buckets of water being thrown at us. As mentioned, nothing is left to the imagination, if you are at all uncomfortable being undressed this is not for you as the lack of communication left us shocked when briefs etc were removed without warning to be washed. We then went through for the ‘massage’ although this was pleasant it was not what you would describe as a western ‘massage’. The masseurs simply rub oil into your skin. As this had all taken so long the driver was eager to go and we did not receive our tea/coffee - though at this point we were really glad to be going. So in brief ... if you are after a traditional Moroccan hammam then this is what you will get but you could certainly get something much much cheaper elsewhere. If you are looking for something a bit more ‘spa like’ and ‘westernised’ then this is definitely NOT RECOMMENDED!!

Response from the operator: Dear Customer, We are sincerely sorry to learn that the Hammam service that we proposed to you did not meet your expectations. We apologize for this and assure you that follow-up will be done with the relevant services in order to make the necessary improvements in service quality. Hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Time Out Travel, Sincerely yours. Time Out Travel

Marrakech Hammam & massage packages: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.

How much does Marrakech Hammam & massage packages cost?

+

Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Marrakech Hammam & massage packages take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.

Is Marrakech Hammam & massage packages worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Marrakech Hammam & massage packages?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Marrakech Hammam & massage packages suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Marrakech Hammam & massage packages?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Marrakech Hammam & massage packages start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Marrakech?

+

On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Marrakech?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Marrakech?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
