A Pathetic Tour
Absolutely shocking. We have travelled the world, having visited well over 30 countries and done 100's of tours. This one, by far, was the worst experience ever. Our guide, if that's what you'd call him, was nothing more than an usher. "Go in bus, sit down" that's pretty much all we got from him. He spent the majority of his time on his mobile phone. No narrative from him on what was actually happening and when. That in itself, whilst poor, was acceptable however the bus trip itself was not. We were ushered onto a bus with so called "air-conditioning". What a lie that was. It was 52 degrees inside the bus for what was supposed to be a 40 minute journey. Our journey, well over an hour, closer to one and a half. He had his driver pull up at a hotel some 20 minutes into our trip and then inform us "we wait here for 5 minutes". No narrative on why at all. The bus, already a sweat box, had 16 passengers at this point, 16 adults waiting in a non air-conditioned bus, not for 5 minutes because it turned out to be 15. In searing heat for 15 minutes, only to learn he now wants to load tge bus up with another 4 passengers. Fine under normal circumstances but with no air-conditioning and then adfing anither 4 humans wiukd only exacerbate the temperature. We had a go at him and told him to get us water, a request he did not want to execute as he was well behind schedule by this stage. It was only when more than 10 of us were yelling at him to stop the bus so we can get water, did he do so. If he had his way, he'd of kept us sweating for the entire trip. He blaned the weather for the heat and denied the air-conditioning was not functioning. Upon arriving at our destination, our guide basically did zero other than to ask us if we wanted to do the camel ride, he gave us nothing narrativly. Outside of the above, it seemed his role was to servebus our meals, he did do this with very little love. To top it off, after our meals were finished/eaten he then provided us with bread. Really, bread now? I actually asked him if that was our desert. It was basically a useless and very poor tourist tour, absolutely atrocious. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I also called the tour guide operator, who was not interested at all in our feedback, so much so that he hung up on me and never called back, just shows you how professional this business is. Tread with caution.

Tour great - evening tour ONLY.
Great guide! Abdul was fantastic! Great bus and communication. Be aware, this is really evening only. We booked for 15:00 and got rescheduled for 16:30. Others on the tour booked for 12, 13, etc, but we were all grouped together at 16:30. Be advised in your planning they may switch your tour time.

Great value for money
Although we enjoyed the day very much and felt it was great value for money, we agreed that if we’d had a better idea of the venue then a degree of transparency would have lifted the rating to a 5*. The venue was a large area out in the ‘desert’ area with a beautiful backdrop. This venue also hosted the camel ride, the outdoor restaurant of which about 50% is covered. It also provides the location for the live local music/dance and fire show. The day we visited was a very busy day, at least 10 mini buses and a number of coaches. Over 200 tourists enjoying the experience. It was very crowded and on one occasion with our guide tempers were raised. Possibly over booking. However our guide handled the situation very well and very professionally. Our group ate outdoors which wasn’t a problem. Sadly, shortly after the singing and dancing had started the day was brought to a halt due to a massive thunderstorm. It was a good day, good value but areas for improvement we felt.

Great value desert tour!
Trip was exactly as described. 20 minute camel ride, 40 minute quad bike ride and an excellent traditional banquet including musicians, dancing and fire eating show. Staff were all friendly especially our guide Khalid. Recommended!

Well detailed and entertaining
This was such an amazing experience! Our guide was so engaging and nice. I remember being so cold that I wanted to skip the fire show and he gave me his jacket so I won’t miss it. I 100% recommend this tour!

Why this scores 81
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Marrakech: Agafay Desert Quad and Camel Ride, Dinner & Show: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Marrakech: Agafay Desert Quad and Camel Ride, Dinner & Show cost?
+
Prices start at $13 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Marrakech: Agafay Desert Quad and Camel Ride, Dinner & Show take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Marrakech: Agafay Desert Quad and Camel Ride, Dinner & Show worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 272 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Marrakech: Agafay Desert Quad and Camel Ride, Dinner & Show?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Marrakech: Agafay Desert Quad and Camel Ride, Dinner & Show suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Marrakech: Agafay Desert Quad and Camel Ride, Dinner & Show?
+
Around 95 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Marrakech: Agafay Desert Quad and Camel Ride, Dinner & Show start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, From Marrakech To Essaouira Mogador Full Day Trip | Small-group, Agafay Desert Package, Quad Bike, Camel Ride and Dinner Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
