If you are on the fence do it!! It’s amazing
Being invited into someone’s home and learning how to prepare the foods that are so dear to them is really a special experience. I highly recommend Rosa Maria. She was so warm and kind. Definitely would have this experience again!

Chef Rocco rocks!!!!!!
If you are looking for a fun and intimate cooking experience with a local, and a delicious meal to enjoy at the end, then look no further! Our chef Rocco was not only talented in the culinary arts, but also extremely welcoming, polite, professional and was genuinely interested in giving us a positive experience. The four-course meal was expertly tailored to our culinary preferences and was outstanding from start to finish. Not only did we use fresh ingredients curated from the local market, but we also cooked with olive oil from his family’s private olive grove. The tiramisu rested in the refrigerator while we prepared the other courses and was a delight to enjoy at the end of our meal. We are leaving with great memories and a few new recipes to try at home! This was one of the best activities we did in Milan!

Highlight of our trip!
This tour was one of the highlights of our trip! Giacomo was a super friendly and engaging host. And of course the food was amazing!! It was fun to be able to ask questions and interact over the course of a few hours, and he was even able to adjust the menu to accommodate some food sensitivities. A truly delightful and memorable experience, and one I would absolutely do again!

Unforgettable!
There aren't descriptive enough adjectives to describe this experience. First we went to the market-the multitudes of fruits, vegetables, fresh fish and seafood were on display. She knew every single one, how it tasted, how to cook them and would get tastes of anything we wanted. She was a wealth of knowledge. She then went on to take us to her home and prepare us an Italian meal. No, not just any meal-it was a gastric extravaganza -6-8 courses homemade delicacies fit for a king-better than any restaurant Ive been in. Oh, did I mention DESSERT? Wine? All the while, demonstrating how to make homemade pasta. She made it all look effortless, while being entertaining and informative. Do yourself a favor and dont miss this opportunity. It was the best of any of the tours I was on.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Market Tour & Typical Dining at a Local's Home in Milan: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.
How much does Market Tour & Typical Dining at a Local's Home in Milan cost?
+
Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Market Tour & Typical Dining at a Local's Home in Milan take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.
Is Market Tour & Typical Dining at a Local's Home in Milan worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Market Tour & Typical Dining at a Local's Home in Milan?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Market Tour & Typical Dining at a Local's Home in Milan suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Market Tour & Typical Dining at a Local's Home in Milan?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Market Tour & Typical Dining at a Local's Home in Milan start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milan?
+
On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Authentic Pasta & Tiramisu Cooking Class in Milan, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
