    The best experience in Milan

Long overdue review... Had the best experience with Giacomo when we visited Milan in July. Beyond just the regular tour he also helped arranged transportation from the airport to Lake Como, and a tailored tour with a professor (Gianluca + Maria) on fashion because that is something I am specifically interested in. The tours were informative and interesting, and Giacomo was very considerate of the weather to make sure we are not visiting places under the scorching sun. His attention to details was simply immaculate. There is still so much to explore in Milan so I am sure I will revisit again in the future and I will for sure book with Giacomo again!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind words. I am very happy you appreciated the experiences I organized for you. Me and my partners pay enormous attention to details. We know this is what makes the difference during a vacation in Italy. Thank you again and I wish to see you soon for your next vacation in my country. Giacomo Zavatteri MilanoArte

    Nice experience

This was my first trip to Milan. Came with my daughter, son in law and 2 granddaughters. This is a lovely city, good food, we did some shopping. Visited the Duomo, the Canals, shops. Very nice experience.

Get Giacomo for your tour, if you can!

The train was late but Giacomo Zavatteri was waiting for us at the entrance to The Last Supper mural. He guided us through in a calm and informed manner and then gave us a brilliant discussion of the mural's history which was clear and interesting. With limited time due to the train issue, he showed us the Galleria, gave us the history of "La Scala" Opera House and showed us the outside of the Duomo. He had informed us a few days before a religious ceremony prohibited a visit inside. His charm and excellent history background made every minute of the tour very enjoyable. We hope he will take us on another tour when we visit Mialn again!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much. You are very kind. Hope to see you soon in Milano.

    Excellent private tour with Giacomo.

We loved Milan, what a great city. One of the highlights of our visit was a private tour with Giacomo. We spent four hours together, and received so much knowledge of the history of the city as well as the culture and traditions. It felt more as a walk with the friend than a private tour with the person we have never met before. I highly recommend the company and especially Giacomo.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind words. It has been a pleasure. Giacomo Zavatteri

Milan, a city of art an history. Classic tour of Milan: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.

How much does Milan, a city of art an history. Classic tour of Milan cost?

    +

Prices start at $450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Milan, a city of art an history. Classic tour of Milan take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.

Is Milan, a city of art an history. Classic tour of Milan worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Milan, a city of art an history. Classic tour of Milan?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Milan, a city of art an history. Classic tour of Milan suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Milan, a city of art an history. Classic tour of Milan?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Milan, a city of art an history. Classic tour of Milan start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Milan?

    +

On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Milan: Pasta and Tiramisu Small Group Cooking Class with Wine, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Milan?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Milan?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
