A Personalized, Informative, Fun, and Tasty Tour!
I had an absolutely amazing time with Chef Jesus and the Peruvian Cusco Flavors team! I took the tour as a solo female vegetarian traveller, and I ended up being the only one on the tour that day. Chef Jesus gave me a very personalized experience. For example, he started the tour by asking what kind of cocktails I liked, and when I said I like everything spicy, he taught me how to make a spicy cocktail for one of the drinks, served me an amazing spicy sauce with one of the snacks, and let me try chocolate with chili. But for those of you who don't handle heat, don't worry! All of the dishes and drinks could be adjusted to your liking, for any food restrictions or preferences. I also learned a lot from the market tour and talking with Chef Jesus throughout the whole experience. I highly recommend this tour, and I would even try one of the company's other tours again if I ever return to Cusco.
Response from the operator: We truly appreciate your kind words! Our mission at Peruvian Cusco Flavors is to ensure every guest, regardless of their dietary restrictions or travel style, receives a 10/10 experience. It’s great to know that Jesus was able to tailor the market tour and the cooking class to your specific love for spicy flavors. Thank you for highlighting that we can adjust everything to our guests' preferences. We look forward to welcoming you back for another culinary adventure!

Very well organized and supplied; fun and delicious
This experience was just as advertised and really informative and a lot of fun. We had a fascinating tour of the market with explanation of various local fruits and vegetables, many of which we were going to go on and cook with. The cooking setup was extremely well organized and supplied. There were ingredients and supplies for everyone at a high level. The demonstrations were clear and we then set about making - and eating - our own. All was delicious and they did send email copies of the recipes that I'm working on at home. I became especially interested in quinoa, which I had thought was a trendy US fad, but I came to really liking it. You won't be disappointed.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed the full market-to-table experience with us. It’s always a highlight to introduce our guests to the incredible variety of local Peruvian fruits and vegetables at the San Pedro Market before heading back to the kitchen. We are especially glad you discovered a new appreciation for quinoa! It has been a staple of Andean nutrition for thousands of years, and we love showing how versatile and delicious it can be in authentic Peruvian cooking. Our team takes great pride in keeping our cooking classes organized and professional so that every guest feels like a chef. It’s great to hear you are already practicing the recipes at home—that is the best souvenir! We hope to see you again in Cusco for another culinary adventure. Buen provecho!

Amazing!
This was so good! The market tour was actually really beneficial, even though we had already done a walking tour which had included San Pedro, Jeorge our guide went through lots of the different flavours and we tasted lots of different fruits, bread etc. It helped us understand what things to buy from the market and what the good prices were. Then we went for the cookery class which was so fun! we made lots of professional dishes, ate them. I'll definitely be making the Pisco sour at home again. One thing I would say is the ceviche was served on two giant spoons which I think would have been better in a bowl with cracker or something. But 100% recommmend this class. It was a pricey experience but definitely worth it.
Response from the operator: Dear guest, We are happy to read your comments. It is nice to know you liked the food you prepared and the market tour. Whish you all the best

Market tour & Peruvian Cooking Class in Cusco: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Market tour & Peruvian Cooking Class in Cusco cost?
+
Prices start at $54 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Market tour & Peruvian Cooking Class in Cusco take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Market tour & Peruvian Cooking Class in Cusco worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Market tour & Peruvian Cooking Class in Cusco?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Market tour & Peruvian Cooking Class in Cusco suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Market tour & Peruvian Cooking Class in Cusco?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Market tour & Peruvian Cooking Class in Cusco start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Full-Day Humantay Lake Trek (Meals Included), Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
