    Caged unhappy fish, mediocre food

Not worth $150 per person. Food was bland and from a supermarket. Tortilla chips dip and cheap sandwiches. I feel sorry for the animals trapped in the cages. I thought I booked a snorkeling trip not a zoo. The reef is decimated around the site. The sharks sat on the bottom looking depressed and motionless. The sting rays were lethargic.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to learn that the experience did not meet your expectations. We understand your concerns regarding the reef. Unfortunately, coral reefs throughout the Caribbean have been significantly impacted by rising ocean temperatures and other environmental factors over the years. While this is a challenge faced across the region, we remain committed to raising awareness about the importance of protecting these fragile ecosystems. We would also like to reassure you regarding the animals in our care. Their well-being is a priority for our team. The behaviors you observed are typical for these species. Nurse sharks naturally spend much of the daylight hours resting on the seabed, which can sometimes give the impression that they are inactive. Similarly, our stingrays are trained for guest interactions, including the photo opportunities offered during the excursion. Their calm behavior during these moments is normal and reflects their training. Thank you again for your review, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.

    Fun Half Day Excursion

Booked at our resort and it was great! A perfect amount of time and it was so cool to see different types of fish and have stingrays and sharks so close. It was a small group, so it was very calm and there was so much room to spread out and do all of the activities they offer. The massage was also a nice touch! This is perfect if you want a relaxing morning to float around and snorkel/kayak in an enclosed environment. May not match your expectations if you’re expecting an experience similar to one where you’re snorkeling in the middle of an ocean or a more major coral reef, the wildlife you’re able to see is a bit more limited.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the kind review! We’re so happy you had a great and relaxing time with us. It’s awesome to hear that you enjoyed the small group atmosphere, the snorkeling, and getting up close with the stingrays and sharks. We are really glad the massage was a nice extra touch for you too 😊 We also really appreciate your honest feedback and the way you described the experience for future guests. It truly means a lot to us. Thank you again for spending part of your vacation with us. We would love to welcome you back anytime!

    Marinarium Snorkling excursion

Gueniel from Amstar provided to my wife and I the details of this snorkling excursion from Bahie Principe resort. It was fantastic. It was a 1/2 day excursion and everything was on time. The bus ride off the resort was only about 25min. The hospitality on the boat was second to none. They served us drinks as well as provided a sandwich and some snacks. The snorkeling experience was great. We were all given a mask and snorkle and provided the option to swim with a beginner group or a more experienced group. We saw lots of fish during the snorkle. Swimming with the sting rays was amazing. We had the chance of holding the stingray and got pictures taken as well. Overall I would recommend this excursion to anyone. It was worth the money!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review Lewis! We’re thrilled to hear you and your wife had such a fantastic snorkeling excursion with us. We’re glad you enjoyed the snorkeling, stingrays, hospitality, and smooth organization from start to finish. Our crew works hard to create fun, safe, and unforgettable experiences, so they’ll be delighted to know their hospitality and service made such a positive impact on your day. We truly appreciate the recommendation and your 5-star rating. Thank you for choosing us to be part of your vacation. We hope to welcome you again on another adventure soon!

Marinarium Snorkeling Cruise from Punta Cana: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Marinarium Snorkeling Cruise from Punta Cana cost?

    +

Prices start at $115 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Marinarium Snorkeling Cruise from Punta Cana take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Marinarium Snorkeling Cruise from Punta Cana worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 43 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 211 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Marinarium Snorkeling Cruise from Punta Cana?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Marinarium Snorkeling Cruise from Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Marinarium Snorkeling Cruise from Punta Cana?

    +

Around 74 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Marinarium Snorkeling Cruise from Punta Cana start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
