    2. Torre di Collelungo

The fortification with sighting functions was built by the Sienese in Renaissance times to strengthen the coastal defensive system along one of the coastal stretches controlled by the Republic of Siena. The structure was destroyed and subsequently rebuilt in the second half of the sixteenth century, when it was considerably raised; a further restoration was carried out towards the end of the eighteenth century when it no longer exercised its original defensive functions.

    3. Alberese, a hamlet of Grosseto, is located in the heart of the Maremma Regional Park, among fields, pine forests and the Uccellina Mountains. The modern village developed mainly between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries thanks to the reclamation and reorganization of the great grand ducal estate. Today it is the main gateway to the park and retains a strong link with agriculture and Maremma traditions.

    +

What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siena?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
