This 7-day safari was very affordable
We booked a 7-day safari in southern Tanzania’s lesser-known parks, Nyerere, Mikumi, Udzungwa Mountains, and Ruaha National Parks, working directly with Africa’s Bohobe Travels and Tours. We chose these lesser-known parks because we wanted to experience the African ecosystem and wildlife without the crowds and the hordes of vehicles, and we were not disappointed, as we only saw two to four other vehicles over the three days! We saw plenty of wildlife, including birds, and the scenery was beautiful and the ecosystem intact. Africa’s Bohobe Travels and Tours helped us tailor their 7-day short safari to our needs and even arranged trips to places they had never been to before. They listened to me and added a variety of activities, such as two night safaris, a walking safari with rangers, and two cultural experiences with the Maasai. The staff worked very diligently to meet our needs and desires. The food was varied and included a variety of local and continental dishes. There was always a choice and plenty of vegetables and fruits. The Land Cruiser was quite good, but it was showing signs of wear and tear due to the bumpy roads. There was plenty of space inside the vehicle and the roof could be raised, which allowed us all to get a good look at the wildlife we saw along the way. Overall, this 7-day safari was very affordable. We highly recommend booking with Bohobe Travels and Tours.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review of your 7-day Southern Tanzania safari. It was a real pleasure to design this journey around your interests and help you explore the quieter, less-visited side of Tanzania. We’re especially delighted that you enjoyed the incredible wildlife, beautiful landscapes, cultural experiences, walking safari, and night safaris. Southern Tanzania offers such a unique and authentic experience, and we’re happy that the itinerary gave you the opportunity to experience the ecosystem with very few vehicles around. We truly appreciate your kind words about our team’s dedication, flexibility, food, and attention to your needs. Your trust in us to arrange activities and experiences in places that were new to us as well made this journey particularly special. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the Land Cruiser. Tanzania’s southern circuits can be extremely demanding on vehicles because of the rugged and sometimes very bumpy roads. We take your observation seriously and will continue working to ensure our safari vehicles are maintained to the highest possible standard for the comfort and safety of our guests. Thank you once again for choosing Bohobe Travels & Tours and for recommending us. We hope to

Oh my! I am speechless with this breathtaking safari experience
I chose Bohobe Travels and Tours in Tanzania because of its excellent reviews and great communication with Abraham. He was very good at communicating. I did a very short safari of 3 days 2 nights and would like to come for longer next time. I would recommend 3 nights in the Serengeti and 2 nights in Ngorongoro/Lake Manyara. I spent 1 night in the Serengeti and 1 night in Lake Manyara and had a great time. I spent the first day in the Serengeti, then went to Ngorongoro. Both parks were amazing and my guide had expert knowledge to show me the way. He really knew his job! It was as if my guide had binoculars in his eyes - he could see things far away that I couldn't see without binoculars. I was overjoyed to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo) and to be honest, I didn't think I would see a leopard in the short time I had, but I was incredibly lucky! I also saw a lion chasing and killing its prey, and a hyena with her newborn cub. I had such a wonderful time that I will definitely book a longer safari next time. Booking with a specialized company really makes a difference, as their care, attention to detail and quality of service are second to none.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing such a detailed and wonderful review! ❤️ It was truly a pleasure having you with us, even for your short 3-day safari. We’re especially happy to hear that you enjoyed your time in Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and that our guide’s knowledge and passion helped make your wildlife experience so memorable. Seeing the Big Five, especially spotting a leopard during such a short safari, is an incredible experience! Your kind words about our communication, attention to detail, and personalized service mean a great deal to us. At Bohobe Travels & Tours, we believe every safari should be carefully planned around our guests’ expectations and interests. We absolutely look forward to welcoming you back to Tanzania for a longer safari next time. Three nights in the Serengeti and two nights around Ngorongoro/Lake Manyara sounds like a wonderful plan! 🐘🦁🐆🇹🇿 Thank you for trusting Bohobe Travels & Tours and for recommending us. Until your next African adventure! 🌍

The best in every way
Our safari in Tanzania with Bohobe Travels and Tours was simply amazing! From the moment we arrived to the final farewell, every detail was handled with professionalism, sincerity and a genuine passion for showcasing the beauty of Tanzania. The tour owner Abraham was exceptional, he was responsive, informative and incredibly helpful. He made sure we got the best experience of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire. Abraham's attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction gave us peace of mind every step of the way. Our driver and guide Joseph was the heart of the trip. Friendly, knowledgeable and with an uncanny ability to spot wildlife from afar, Joseph made the safari come alive. He knew every road, every waterhole and had endless stories about the animals and the ecosystem. Thanks to him we were able to see the Big Five and learn a lot about the local culture and conservation efforts. The entire trip was personal, intimate and seamless. The best in every way!

How far in advance should I book MANYARA & TARANGIRE - 4 Days?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dar es Salaam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dar es Salaam and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dar es Salaam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dar es Salaam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
