Mangrove tour

Excellent boat tour through the mangroves. We started the tour with an introductory talk about general details. Our guide, Brenda, showed us many species, including some birds, iguanas, and anteaters. It was a very relaxing tour; the sound of the mangrove forest, along with the concert of crickets and frogs, makes the place magical.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your mangrove boat tour! We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the introductory explanation and the opportunity to discover so many different species along the way. Brenda will be very pleased to know that you appreciated her guidance and knowledge of the wildlife. Seeing birds, iguanas, anteaters, and many other animals in their natural habitat is always a special part of this experience. We especially loved your description of the sounds of the mangrove forest. The combination of crickets, frogs, wildlife, and the peaceful surroundings truly makes this ecosystem a magical and unique place. Thank you for choosing Epic Adventures and for allowing us to share the beauty of the Costa Rican mangroves with you. We hope to welcome you back again for another unforgettable experience!

Great tour guide.

Our tour guide Brenda was amazing. We saw monkeys and sloths and deer. But Brenda found even harder to spot animals like bats hiding under large leaves, fake chameleons hiding in plain sight, a roadside hawk, and even a huge venomous fer-de-lance viper under a log. She was super knowledgeable about the different types of ecosystems in the park, and was very kind to answer all of our children’s questions. 10/10. Highly recommend Brenda.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to recognize Brenda! We’re very happy to hear that you and your family had such a memorable experience and were able to see such an incredible variety of wildlife during the tour. Brenda has a great eye for spotting animals that can easily go unnoticed, so it’s wonderful to hear that she was able to show you not only monkeys, sloths, and deer, but also bats, false chameleons, a roadside hawk, and even a fer-de-lance. Those special sightings can make a nature tour truly unforgettable. We also really appreciate your comments about her knowledge of the different ecosystems and, especially, her patience and kindness when answering your children’s questions. We always want our tours to be educational, fun, and engaging for the entire family. Thank you very much for the 10/10 recommendation and for choosing Epic Adventures. Brenda will be very happy to hear your kind words, and we hope to welcome you and your family back for another nature adventure in Costa Rica!

Monkeys, sloths, snakes, and lizards. We saw 'em all.

Our guide Cesar makes this a 5 star rating. Without him, I would drop a star. Cesar was incredibly knowledgeable and found plenty of wildlife. He was attentive, and friendly. The only downside to the tour is all the people. It is very crowded. Epic took care of transportation, which was seamless. If you go to Manuel Antonio, this is a must do.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your honest and detailed review! We’re very happy to hear that Cesar made such a positive difference in your visit to Manuel Antonio National Park. His knowledge, attention, and ability to spot wildlife are qualities we truly value, and we’ll be sure to share your kind words with him. We also appreciate your comment about the crowds. Manuel Antonio is one of Costa Rica’s most popular national parks, so it can certainly feel busy, especially during peak hours and high season. Even with that, we always do our best to make the experience enjoyable, organized, and focused on the wildlife and nature around you. We’re also glad the transportation service was smooth and convenient from beginning to end. Thank you for choosing Epic Adventures and for recommending Manuel Antonio as a must-do experience. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future!

Manuel Antonio National Park Guided Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quepos.

How much does Manuel Antonio National Park Guided Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quepos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Manuel Antonio National Park Guided Tour take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quepos is not rushed.

Is Manuel Antonio National Park Guided Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 110 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Quepos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Manuel Antonio National Park Guided Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Manuel Antonio National Park Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Manuel Antonio National Park Guided Tour?

+

Around 39 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quepos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quepos and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Manuel Antonio National Park Guided Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quepos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Quepos?

+

On Outty we rank every Quepos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whitewater Rafting Savegre Class II-III plus Waterfall Manuel Antonio, Manuel Antonio Canopy Tour - Longest Twin Zip Line in Central America, Waterfall Ziplining & Canyoning. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Quepos?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Quepos?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
