Look No Further- THIS is your Manuel Antonio Guide
After much research, including many Reddit threads, we decided to go with Diego. From the very first contact through WhatsApp to our last selfie with Diego saying farewell, he provided a super responsive and highly professional experience at a VERY fair price. Our teenagers LOVED Diego and one of our party of seven said, “That was the best guided tour I’ve ever had.” Diego is a genuinely easy going and warm friendly human whose ENTIRE family has been guiding tours in Manuel Antonio for 25 years!! And it showed. He was able to spot such a diverse array of insects, reptiles, birds, and of course monkeys and sloths. Not only spotting but also having an immense body of knowledge to share in an interesting way that engaged our grumpy teenagers who were unhappy with being woken up so early. By the end of the tour they were all smiling and saying how much they loved Diego. He literally grew up in this park. Thank you Diego! We are so grateful for choosing your service.

Great guide
My wife and I enjoyed a day in the national park and a second morning kayaking on the river through the mangroves. Both were excellent and our guide had excellent Vision to see and explain the animals and plants. Very much appreciated his good service.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for choosing us for both your park tour and your mangrove kayaking adventure! We are thrilled you had such a great time. I will be sure to pass along your compliments to our guide regarding his keen eye for nature—he will be very happy to hear his expertise added to your experience. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back for more explorations soon!

I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the wildlife and that we were able to dive deep into all your questions—sharing my passion for our local nature is exactly why I love doing what I do. Amazing guide
My husband and I did a G Adventure tour which used Diego for the Manuel Antonia park. Diego’s tour was by far the best experience we had throughout our tour. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area and has an amazing eye for seeing the wildlife in a dense tropical forest. We had other guided walks in other areas of Costa Rica but none compared to Diego’s.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such an incredible compliment! It was truly a pleasure meeting you and your husband. I am thrilled to hear that my tour was a highlight of your trip; sharing the wonders of our tropical forest and helping guests spot our local wildlife is my passion. Thank you for choosing to explore with me, and I hope to welcome you both back to Manuel Antonio again!

Fantastic NP tour with Diego
Diego is fantastic! We did the 2 km hike through Manuel Antonio NP. Diego is very knowledgable about the park and its inhabitants, and took the time to give us details on each and a chance to look through the spotting scope. He also took fabulous photos and videos through the scope, it is such a treat to have these memories recorded.
Response from the operator: That is so kind of you to say! I'm really glad you enjoyed the hike through the park. Taking the time to really get a good look through the scope and capturing those moments—whether it's the wildlife behavior or just a great close-up—is one of my favorite parts of the tour. I'm happy you have those photos and videos to look back on. It was a pleasure sharing the park with you!

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quepos.
How much does Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour cost?
+
Prices start at $28 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quepos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quepos is not rushed.
Is Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 55 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Quepos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quepos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quepos and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quepos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Quepos?
+
On Outty we rank every Quepos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whitewater Rafting Savegre Class II-III plus Waterfall Manuel Antonio, Manuel Antonio Canopy Tour - Longest Twin Zip Line in Central America, Waterfall Ziplining & Canyoning. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Quepos?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Quepos?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
