Highly Recommend

Our tour of the botanical garden was very interesting and educational. But the best part was the cooking class. Sergio made it not only helpful but also fun and entertaining. The meal was a great representation of Costa Rican fare and we gobbled it all down. The dessert at the end was incredible. And we received all the recipes!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that our guide made the experience engaging and enjoyable for your whole group. It’s great to know you loved the experience. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you all again in the future! ✨

So much fun!

Local flavours. We were picked up from our hotel, turned out we got a private tour as no one else had booked that day. I loved that. Upon arrival, we got to go pick ingredients ourselves. We got to try some tamarind juice, homemade wine.. we made tortillas, a plantain ceviche and chicken casada. It was so much fun and so delicious! I highly recommend. We learned about the culture, what goes into growing such ingredients, learnt about the family that owns the farm. Just a delight. We even got to see some monkeys on the way there. They stopped so we could take pictures. What a lovely family. I wish them prosperity and only good things. You have to do this tour!

Response from the operator: Hello dear Marie, we truly appreciate your nice comments about our guide and experience in general. We wish you a safe travel back home and please dont forget to mention about us to any of your friends and family coming down here. Pura vida! :) rrh

Manuel Antonio Local Cooking Class with Botanical Garden Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quepos.

How much does Manuel Antonio Local Cooking Class with Botanical Garden Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quepos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Manuel Antonio Local Cooking Class with Botanical Garden Tour take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quepos is not rushed.

Is Manuel Antonio Local Cooking Class with Botanical Garden Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Quepos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Manuel Antonio Local Cooking Class with Botanical Garden Tour?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Manuel Antonio Local Cooking Class with Botanical Garden Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Manuel Antonio Local Cooking Class with Botanical Garden Tour?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quepos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quepos and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Manuel Antonio Local Cooking Class with Botanical Garden Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quepos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Quepos?

+

On Outty we rank every Quepos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whitewater Rafting Savegre Class II-III plus Waterfall Manuel Antonio, Manuel Antonio Canopy Tour - Longest Twin Zip Line in Central America, Waterfall Ziplining & Canyoning. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Quepos?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Quepos?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
