What you get

    About this experience

Experience everything the wildlife refuge has to offer with three distinct experiences packed into one three-hour tour! Launch your kayak in the daylight and surround yourself with Florida’s most-loved endangered species, West Indian Manatees! Sit back while the gentle giants roll, sniff, and nuzzle all around you. Dolphins are also active this time of day as they wrangle their dinner in the adjacent cove. Next, head out to Bird Island, a federally protected rookery, to watch hundreds of birds soar in overhead. Ibis, herons, egrets, pelicans, cormorants, and roseate spoonbills and more all glide in their flocks to nest for the night. Be lulled into serenity by the gently rocking kayak as the sun descends for the night in the pinks, oranges, and reds of sunset. Finally, the tour culminates in the season’s bioluminescent experience, whether it be summer bioluminescence, winter comb jelly bioluminescence, or a star-studded moonlit sky.

3-hour eco/kayak tour on the Mosquito River in Titusville, Florida, with Ricky as your guide:

We had an absolutely AMAZING experience on our eco kayak tour on the Mosquito River in Titusville! 🌿🦋🌊 Our guide, Ricky, was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire 3-hour adventure so much fun. We saw SO much wildlife—dolphins, alligators, horseshoe crabs, stingrays, tons of manatees, and more birds than I could possibly name! 🐬🐊🐢🦅 But the real magic happened after dark! ✨ The bioluminescence in the water was absolutely breathtaking. Watching the water light up around our kayaks was an experience I will never forget. We even got to see comb jellies and blue crabs! This tour was so much more than just kayaking—it was an incredible opportunity to experience Florida’s natural beauty up close, and Ricky made it even more memorable. If you’re anywhere near Titusville, DO THIS TOUR! You won’t regret it. We would absolutely do it again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

    You should experience this

I did the tour with Zoe, Logan, and James. They were the absolute best, very kind and knowledgeable and made sure to keep our party safe and entertained. Zoe would catch fish and let us handle them. The bioluminescence was also wonderful the location had very shallow water and it was really quite warm despite visiting at night. We saw dolphins and swarms of fish. Logan even pointed out shooting stars. This tour makes for a great experience with family or friends and would highly recommend as it is absolutely worth the money.

    Beautiful Experience

This was an amazing experience led by Zoe the tour guide alongside James and Logan. The kayaking was very fun to do with friends, and the bioluminescence was incredible. The starry night was also beautiful to gaze at. It is well worth the price. Zoe was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable, and in the entire experience I felt safe and secure in their hands. If you go, make sure to bring a change of clothes as you will get wet after.

    Amazing Experience and Guides

I truly wish I could rate this experience 10 stars. Our group of 8 was in the AMAZING and capable hands of tour guides Zoe, Logan and James, who not only exercised incredible amounts of patience with our clumsy selves, but also made this such a once in a lifetime fun learning experience. Along the way we saw dolphins, schools of jumping fish, a manta ray, and we got to check out two fish that jumped into our boats! I even spoke to Zoe about a birthday in the group, and she was immediately in on it and spoke to everyone else to surprise sing out in the ocean while we were watching the stars! She also had us stop at different places to teach us about what we were seeing in our surroundings. The guides were also quite flexible with us, both before and after going in the water. They offered to store our belongings on land, shared bug spray, and always encouraged we have fun out in the water, of course with consideration of the safety conversion we had before! The price is well worth it for 2 hours, and prepare for your clothing to get drenched! Thank you!

Manatees/Sunset/Bioluminescence Kayak Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.

How much does Manatees/Sunset/Bioluminescence Kayak Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Manatees/Sunset/Bioluminescence Kayak Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.

Is Manatees/Sunset/Bioluminescence Kayak Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 214 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Manatees/Sunset/Bioluminescence Kayak Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Manatees/Sunset/Bioluminescence Kayak Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Manatees/Sunset/Bioluminescence Kayak Tour?

    +

Around 75 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Manatees/Sunset/Bioluminescence Kayak Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?

    +

Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?

    +

March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
