Delhi Day Tour

Do not use Go City Adventures for "Make your own 8 hours custom private tour of Delhi by car"
On this tour, the Tour Guide did not turn up at the agreed pick up hotel and had to be met at the first stop – around 1 hour late. Then when the Tour Guide arrived, he would not allow for a “make your own” tour.The Tour Guide instead said he wanted to first go to a shop (for which he obviously knew the owner and would have been paid for driving there). When this was declined (as shopping had all been done the previous day) and then asking to go to specific sites in Delhi that had not yet been visited, the Tour Guide became verbally abusive, swore and yelled and then stormed off not to be seen again. The Driver (who was also sworn at and had a heated exchange with the Tour Guide) remained to continue the tour but without a guide for the rest of the day. So consider carefully if this tour comes up as being with "Go City Adventures" when booking with Viator. Heaven help the safety and security of a sole female traveller if this is the experience of a burly twenty three year old male.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, First of all, We apologize for such a bad experience. We did come to know about this incident and we have removed the guide from our panel. Shopping is not a policy that we encourage nor are any of our guides supposed to do so, this was one of an incident and we have taken it very seriously. The same very day we refunded the entire amount to you and gave the Car free of cost at your disposal. I know refunding the amount doesn't mean we are not at fault, but more of a goodwill gesture. We are fully committed to the safety of our passengers and continue to improve our services. Thanks Suraj
