Great excursion
Juan was a great tour guide. He made sure everyone knew where they were going and for what time. We were the only English speaking family and he did a great job keeping us in the loop. The mangroves with the raccoons was amazing and they made sure to get pictures and make sure everyone had a chance to interact with the raccoons. The snorkeling wasn’t snorkeling they gave you a set of goggles and that was it. Mambo was great the food was very good, decent portions, and very friendly staff. It was a long bus ride but the AC works. Overall would recommend this excursion to someone wanting to interact with raccoons
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We will continue working to provide wonderful experiences for our visitors and ensure they take away the best of the city. Have a lovely day!

Family of 3
The mambo location was nice to stay at, the food was great, and the atmosphere was nice too. We didnt like how crowded the boat was, when we went snorkeling the goggles were not clear hard to see anything under water and my sons google had a hole in it and the water stung his eyes not knowing there was a whole on the goggles. But it was a nice expirence.
Response from the operator: I hope you are well. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve the services we provide to tourists and ensure they have the best possible experience.

Disorganized and Chaotic
Very disorganized tour, we lost people multiple times during the day. We were there on a Sunday, which we wouldn't recommend, it was incredibly busy at the beach. The tour is advertised as bilingual, but the vast majority was spanish, so it wasnt good for English speakers. There was no explanation of what was going on for our side tour snorkeling and to the racoons as it was all in spanish. The silver lining was the racoons. But id fine a different group for this, I wouldn't recommend.
Response from the operator: Hello, I hope this is clear. The information in the plan is provided in both English and Spanish. Even if only one person speaks Spanish, our priority is that our clients have the necessary information for the plan they will be using. We will also take all your feedback into account to follow up and improve in any areas where we need it. Thank you for your comments.

Awesome time !
Mike (Miguel) was the best guide we could have asked for !! He was attentive, generous and entertaining! Need more time with the raccoons though. It was too quick and I’m happy I read the reviews and brought my own bread to feed them ! It made it way better for us !! They only bring one banana for the entire boat. Loved the experience as a whole.
Response from the operator: I hope you are well. We are very happy that everything was to your liking. We work hard to provide wonderful experiences in the city of Cartagena.

Magical Full-Day Tour Through The Mangroves And The Beach In Isla de Barú: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.
How much does Magical Full-Day Tour Through The Mangroves And The Beach In Isla de Barú cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Magical Full-Day Tour Through The Mangroves And The Beach In Isla de Barú take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.
Is Magical Full-Day Tour Through The Mangroves And The Beach In Isla de Barú worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 99 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Magical Full-Day Tour Through The Mangroves And The Beach In Isla de Barú?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Magical Full-Day Tour Through The Mangroves And The Beach In Isla de Barú suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Magical Full-Day Tour Through The Mangroves And The Beach In Isla de Barú?
+
Around 35 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Magical Full-Day Tour Through The Mangroves And The Beach In Isla de Barú start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cartagena?
+
On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system, Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cartagena?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cartagena?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
