Good tour; bad coordination of internet info snd phone support.

Our guide Manuel was really great. He pointed out and explained everything. The problem we had was with the web site. We were not in a hotel and were making reservations the night before after 6 pm. We assumed we would need to take a cab to a hotel but there was no information on how we were going to do that. The morning of the event I called a support number and was given the phone of someone local whose phone was off line. Somehow I later got to what’s app and was informed to go to a certain hotel. The hotel knew nothing. After waiting more than 35 minutes the hotel manager got info that we were in the right place. Your app, What’s App and info by phone need a review to improve the coordination of info, especially on the day someone is scheduled.

    Mangrove adventure

Me and my husband had a fantastic time on this tour. We happened to be the only people on this tour. I received a messages to confirm the time I would be picked up. We were taken to the Mangroves in a minibus which took roughly 45 minutes. Our guide was great and translated for us as our Spanish skills are very limited. The ride was very peaceful and the fishing show was fun and interesting to watch. All round had a wonderful time and would recommend. They offer a further stop on this tour however we were pushed for time so did not experience this so can not review. We learnt about the mangroves, wildlife and some elements of the culture in Cartagena our guide was very happy to answer any questions we had. Side note - very hot take water and sun screen

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Mangroves + Lunch at Los Pinos Beach Club?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cartagena?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system, Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cartagena?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cartagena?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
