A Magical Experience with an Incredible Guide
I had the pleasure of doing a few different tours with Katia, and she was absolutely amazing! ❤️ The highlight for me was definitely the Machu Picchu tour. Katia’s knowledge, her deep connection to her roots and culture, and the incredible positive energy she brings made the experience so much more meaningful. With her, Machu Picchu wasn’t just about seeing a beautiful historical site and taking pictures. She helped me understand the history, culture, and spirituality behind the place, and I genuinely felt connected to Machu Picchu in a way I didn’t expect. It felt like an experience rather than just a tour. Katia is passionate, knowledgeable, warm, and full of positive vibes. I would highly recommend her through Trexperience to anyone visiting Peru — especially for Machu Picchu, but also for the other tours she offers. She truly made my trip more memorable! ✨🇵🇪

This wonder is awesome and unmissable
Machu Picchu fascinated me and it is worth spending several hours in this archaeological complex and not only 2 hours that are planned on this tour. The transportation, accommodation and friendliness of my guide were 10. Unfortunately there was very little historical information we received with this company. But overall it was a pleasant experience.
Response from the operator: Dear 568fabiolar, Muchas gracias por compartir tu experiencia con tanta sinceridad. Warm regards, TreXperience Team

Great visit to Machu Picchu
The tour was great! We were picked up from the hotel and soon after arrived to the train. Travel by train was very nice, luxurious experience with great food and great views. It took us 2 hours to get to the Aguascalientas and then 30 minutes to get to the entrance to the Machu Picchu. Roberto, our guide, was waiting us at the entrance. We were travelling along the second route, which was great as we saw Machu Picchu from the vista at the start and then descended into the city itself and walked around it. Roberto told us about the history of the place, about Inca empire and traditions, along the way he described every place we saw, helped us to take a lot of pictures and altogether made our visit comfortable, interesting and educational. After the tour we returned to the hotel at the entrance to have a tea and then hoped on to the Hiram Bingham to travel back. We enjoyed the tour very much!
Response from the operator: Hello Alexander, Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed the whole trip, from the luxurious train ride to the amazing views of Machu Picchu. Roberto really appreciates your kind words, and we're happy to know the tour was both fun and informative for you. We hope to welcome you again soon for another adventure!. Luz Belia

Incredible luxury tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
We had the most incredible time on this trip! Definitely book this tour if you want to hike to Machu Picchu. Our guide William Elvis, Chef Julio Cesar, Toribil and ALL his porters, waitress Etele, and massage therapist Esme were the best. They thought of everything on this trip- from beautiful meals, to gorgeously set up tents, to packed snacks, warm showers, our own bathroom, and wonderful nightly massages. We learned so much, had a once in a lifetime adventure, and felt like we were a family with this crew. William also took the best pictures of us, so we will always remember this trip. Everything was amazing!!!!

Machu Picchu Day Trip with Vistadome Train: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Machu Picchu Day Trip with Vistadome Train cost?
+
Prices start at $380 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Machu Picchu Day Trip with Vistadome Train take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Machu Picchu Day Trip with Vistadome Train worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Machu Picchu Day Trip with Vistadome Train?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Machu Picchu Day Trip with Vistadome Train suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Machu Picchu Day Trip with Vistadome Train?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Machu Picchu Day Trip with Vistadome Train start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
