Excellent Tour with a Couple of Considerations

INCREDIBLE. The 2 day tour is where it's at. Every destination is more breathtaking than the next. All of the guides were professional and courteous. Ulysses was our guide at Machu Picchu and he was excellent. Very funny, animated, and informative. Be prepared for lots of time spent in busses and trains. You will almost certainly arrive at least 1 hour later than expected to every place so keep that in mind when planning return flights, etc. This wasn't the fault of the tour organizer, just seems to be the way peru operates. Expect large crowds at every site and tons of vendors trying to sell you things at every turn. The hotel we got in Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu Adventure, was not great. Very loud and very bright. If you need a good sleep consider booking your own hotel as there are some nice ones around. We also booked the panoramic train option but didn't get it. We got refunded for the error but ultimately, the train we got was just fine with lots of huge windows to observe the incredible landscape. Final tips: read the Google reviews for restaurants in Aguas Calientes carefully as some of them are terrible and sketchy. Also buy your souvenirs in Ollatayntambo as they will be much cheaper than Aguas Calientes and its all the same stuff.

Response from the operator: The Howlanders.com team would like to thank you for your kind review. We hope you enjoy the rest of your journey!

Just wow!

The whole trip was amazing and so well organised. We really enjoyed the sacred valley, but nothing topped Machu Piccu. We were lucky with the weather and got some great shots.

Excellent ezperience

The Trip to the sacred valley, Pisac, Ollantaytambo was excellent. Jimmybour guide expressed himself very well and knew a lot. Then we took the train to Aguas Calientes and the next tour had a great guide, Fernando, who allowed us to take our time in Machu Pichu. Fernando was the best guide we had so far.

Response from the operator: The Howlanders.com team would like to thank you for your kind review. We hope to see you again soon!

Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley - 2 days guided tour from Cusco: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley - 2 days guided tour from Cusco cost?

+

Prices start at $384 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley - 2 days guided tour from Cusco take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley - 2 days guided tour from Cusco worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley - 2 days guided tour from Cusco?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley - 2 days guided tour from Cusco suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley - 2 days guided tour from Cusco?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley - 2 days guided tour from Cusco start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
