Rosario island tour
Well the actual boat guys were nice. There wasn’t much communication beforehand regarding the trip. I have done many tours so I’m used to people getting in contact with you before just to make sure you know where to go and what to do. That didn’t happen which is why I didn’t give this a high rating. Also they had no plan. There were asking us what we wanted to do? Since I’ve been on many tours before I knew this was a bit strange. Most people have a plan for the day and other options should you want to do different things. We actually cut the tour a bit short. We went to baru for a short time and it was nice but the beach was small. The actual boat was very nice and confortable. I can say that was a bonus of the trip. Also be careful when you get to the beach. Everyone is selling stuff but they have a guy who actually helps you with stuff when you get to the beach but he asked us to buy lunch for the guys on the boat which I don’t mind. But I would ask them directly. Because when I did ask them if they wanted to eat they actually said no. So I’m not sure if the guy was trying to scam us or not. But always verify don’t rely on the people on the island. Like I always say trust but verify! Overall not a bad trip the boat was nice and the guys on the boat did a great job. Would I recommend them? Yes, but I would make sure you had a real itinerary before hand. Or maybe try someone who communicates a little better.
Response from the operator: Hi Charles, thank you for your positive feedback. In short, the crew was excellent, the boat was comfortable and pleasant, and my team did a fantastic job. I honestly don't understand the 3 stars you gave us, but that's perfectly fine. We contacted you the day before by mail to give you all the information about the tour, what it might include, what you can bring, the time and place to meet us, etc… We always have a plan, an itinerary for the excursion, but we always ask the client if they would like to go to another location or stay at another site during the tour, and also how much time they want to spend at each place we visit; our itinerary is flexible. We always take our clients' feedback into account to provide better service. Best regards,

HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Absolutely AMAZING!! It was 10 girls and everyone on the crew went above and beyond to match our needs. We had an epic time from the snorkeling, to the delicious lunch and private beach spot! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a private tour!!

Great start to the trip - Most do!
Booked this as the first activity for an all-girls trip. Some of us were worried about starting out so early after arriving in Cartagena so late the night before. Well, it was worth it...and more! Once we got to the yacht club, we met with Abel, who was a gracious host. Then we met our crew, Johnathan and Rueben. On board and out to sea we went with our music playing and drinks flowing. Our first stop was magical as it was the perfect spot to take a dip and swim around. Then we sailed to have lunch on La Champetua, which was divine. Johnathan and Rueben could have left us there as we already felt so satisfied...but there was more to see. We finished off the day with a couple more hours of sailing, swimming, and taking in the majestic views. Couldn't have asked for a better start to our trip. Highly recommend this!

Beautiful Colombian islands!!!
I celebrated my birthday with friends! We had an excellent experience from pick-up to drop-off. The boat was very clean, well-kept, spacious (15 people), and fast! Highly recommended!

Amazing Boat Tour
The driver and other boat attendant were amazing! This trip consisted of stopping at 3 islands. 1 was a place where you could get out and swim, 1 was a party scene with other boats parked, where you could eat(very expensive but tasty) food, jet ski, etc….and one was a completely zen, quiet island. It was just awesome, we couldn’t ask for a better experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your positive review! Our commitment is to deliver the best experience in the Rosario islands!

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Luxury Private Boat Island Hopping to the Rosario Islands, Baru: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.
How much does Luxury Private Boat Island Hopping to the Rosario Islands, Baru cost?
+
Prices start at $999 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Luxury Private Boat Island Hopping to the Rosario Islands, Baru take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.
Is Luxury Private Boat Island Hopping to the Rosario Islands, Baru worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Luxury Private Boat Island Hopping to the Rosario Islands, Baru?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Luxury Private Boat Island Hopping to the Rosario Islands, Baru suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Luxury Private Boat Island Hopping to the Rosario Islands, Baru?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Luxury Private Boat Island Hopping to the Rosario Islands, Baru start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cartagena?
+
On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system, Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cartagena?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cartagena?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
