Not the Best
Our experience started with the transport to the dock in Cancun being over 45 minutes late with a pick-up not at our hotel which was prominced but at a 10th avenue location 3 bloccks away. the mimibus waas crammed with people and we had to squeeze into the back seat where we could see nothing. Once on board the catamaran and after s listening to the half hour safety talk we headed for the reef and snorkelling part of the trip. We were forced to wear a life preserver so you couldn't get under the surface and had to hang onto a roap with about 30 other people, kicking and splashing crammed together. there was not much to see in any event. the water was warm and clear but the reef, if you could call it that, displayed only a few small fish. Once back on board, the saving grace was the open bar. there were many similar catamaran tour boats doing the same thing, some with many more tourists crammed on the boats. Our next adventure was posted as "Lunch at a private beach club". It turned out to be a massive buffet serving mediocre food hundreds of tourists. We had to get back to the boat by a certain time or it would leave without us. Next stop was for a couple of hours to experience the town and North Beach. Much like any cruise ship port, the streets were crammed with tourists and shops. We rented a golf cart which was falling apart and promptly got lost finding our way back to the boat on time. Glad to finally get off the boat for the trip home to Playa del Carmen which incredibly took 3.5 hours even though the driver drove like a madman only to be dropped off even further from our condo (4 blocks). Altogether not a great experience. I will not advise my guests to go.
Response from the operator: Hello, regrettably we do not have record of a recent booking including transportation from Playa del Carmen for this tour. The last reservation we attended was for a party of 4 customers who arrived to Marina Albatros on their own on wedenesday, December 17th. I asked them how was it and they replied everything was good. We suspect that you did not book through Conoce Lo Tuyo - Know Thy World but with a different operator. If you provide your booking reference number, we could verify. When did you go?? For what you described in your review, you experienced a high season day in a very popular tourist destination such as Isla Mujeres, with lots of people everywhere. Naturally, the safety talk is intended to communicate how the tour operates so that you can enjoy the tour at its most. There you are informed amongst other important subjects that the use of life vest is mandatory so as to preserve the marine life.. The el Meco reef is the most visited reef and many other companies take their guests for snorkeling. The guides are in charge of making it clear the meeting points and times so that you are not left behind.. The golf cart is an optional activity and you actually get to choose where to rent it.. if you were not satisfied with the conditions of the gold cart, you should have addressed the matter with the company you rented it from.. We are sorry you got lost, fortunately you made it on time and catched up the catamaran,.... We would love to get your booking reference number so we can follow up. As previously stated our last customers took the tour last wednesday, they chose the option without transportation because they were staying in Cancun hotel zone and they manifested that everything went well on the tour... Anyhow, I am passing your comments to the operator of the tour so they take immediate action on the subjects that you point as opportunity areas.. Many thanks and regards!

Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Luxury Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres with Transportation: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Luxury Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres with Transportation cost?
+
Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Luxury Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres with Transportation take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Luxury Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres with Transportation worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Luxury Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres with Transportation?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Luxury Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres with Transportation suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Luxury Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres with Transportation?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Luxury Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres with Transportation start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
