Expensive and wasteful of your time for a free shuttle n free nasty buffeting
Plans to be picked up at 9am we didn’t get to catarman till noon …. We had to pick up a lot of others spent 3 hours picking people up horrible … Crew on board was super nice and friendly outgoing served plenty of drinks and made you have some fun! The buffet was trash and the ride back was another 2 hours we were first to be picked up at 9 am last to be dropped off waste of a day take a ferry and taxi to get to ferry way cheaper and pick somewhere to eat that you want way less we were hostage 9 am to 9:30 pm Took nice pics charged us $120 would send pics later nerver got them not nice at all!! And the driver of the van drove like a maniac not a great experience spent our day on their time for way to much money then they doubled our dock fees to $30 when on brochure it said $15 well you counldnt back out at that point they had you hostage clearly a scam trip started at $55 then turned in $120 they got you again before getting on boat
Response from the operator: Hello, Good afternoon, Miss. The pick up in Tulum that we handle is at 6:50 AM, after which clients are picked up in Playa del Carmen. The tour starts at 9:00 AM directly from the marina in Cancun. Could you please provide the name of your reservation? Unfortunately, I can't identify your reservation. The dock fee is not $30 USD, it is $20 USD. The check-in staff always explain the reason for the charge when they charge you. No retention is made at check-in, on the catamaran, or on the private vehicle.

I had a great time for my 40th!!!
I had an absolutely great time on the catamaran cruise even though we waited about half an hour to an hour to actually depart once we got on the boat. It was so much fun. The host were so much fun was probably the best time I’ve ever had on a catamaran. My family friends celebrated my 40th birthday on it and we all had a blast.
Response from the operator: Hello, Good afternoon. Thank you very much for your kind comment. We're glad to know your tour experience was pleasant. We hope to see you again if the opportunity arises. Blessings.

After waited 2 hours for...
After waited 2 hours for pick up the trip was canceled. Operator was also very unresponsive . What a waste of a day!
Response from the operator: Hello, good afternoon. There was probably bad weather and a port closure. When you have a problem, it's important to let a work employee know so they can help you. Please provide the name of the person who made your reservation.

Why this scores 46
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Luxury Catamaran tour to isla mujeres with transportation from Tulum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Luxury Catamaran tour to isla mujeres with transportation from Tulum cost?
+
Prices start at $91 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Luxury Catamaran tour to isla mujeres with transportation from Tulum take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Luxury Catamaran tour to isla mujeres with transportation from Tulum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 46 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Luxury Catamaran tour to isla mujeres with transportation from Tulum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Luxury Catamaran tour to isla mujeres with transportation from Tulum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Luxury Catamaran tour to isla mujeres with transportation from Tulum?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Luxury Catamaran tour to isla mujeres with transportation from Tulum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
