⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Incredible Day in Luxor – Perfectly Organised and Truly Unforgettable!
We had the most amazing day exploring Luxor, and I honestly can’t recommend this tour enough! From start to finish, everything was so well organised, and we felt completely looked after throughout the entire day. Our guide, Khalil, was lovely, incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Egyptian history. He brought every site to life with his stories and explanations, answering all our questions with patience and detail. You could tell he really loves what he does, and that enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. He also made sure we were comfortable at all times, keeping us shaded when it was hot, offering water breaks, and giving us time to explore at our own pace. We visited some truly breathtaking places, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, and Hatshepsut Temple were definite highlights. Each stop felt perfectly timed, never rushed, and we were able to take in the history and atmosphere without feeling hurried. We also got the chance to ride on a Felucca down the river Nile which was an experience in itself. A big thank you also to our driver, Assem Abu Zeid, who was so kind and professional. The journey to and from our hotel was smooth and comfortable, and we always felt completely safe in his care. Both drivers were courteous and friendly, and everything ran like clockwork. Overall, it was such a memorable and enjoyable day, one of the best experiences we’ve had during our trip to Egypt. If you’re thinking about booking a Luxor day tour, don’t hesitate, and if you can, ask for Khalil and Assem. They made the day truly special!

Wonderful Day Trip to Luxor!
We had a fantastic private day trip to Luxor from Makadi Bay. Our driver, Ismael, was not only kind, friendly, and professional but also shared interesting information along the way, making the journey even more enjoyable. He waited for us patiently at each stop and ensured we returned safely - the trip would not have been the same without him! Our tour guide Mustafa, was very knowledgeable and provided plenty of fascinating insights at each site, bringing the history of Luxor to life. The tour was well-organised, and we never felt rushed. A pleasant addition to the experience was the lovely lunch with great views, giving us a chance to relax and take in the surroundings. Overall, it was a well-planned and memorable trip, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Facinating trip out
We had a wonderful trip to luxor. The day before we got several text messages from the company requesting our passport details for the transfer between the check points. It is quite a long drive from Makadi, it took 4.5 hours, Collection at 5:20am and we arrived around 10:00am. We had 1 half way stop in both directions for 15 minutes where there were toilets which you needed to tip with coins to use and there are refreshments also - they did try to rip off on the price so it good to have an amount in mind before approaching the till. (We were charged 150 for two packets of crisps which we managed to get down to 40 which is the normal shop price) We collected the tour guide in luxor and then went to the Valley of the Kings first. The trip did not include Tutankhamun's tomb which you have to pay extra for if you would like to see it. We then travelled to temple of Hatshepsut which was facinating. We were then taken to a pottery shop where they were carving rocks. We were given a demonstration and then invited to buy things. The Famous Bazars are just the shops by the attractions for any keen shoppers. We then went for lunch which was a buffet and quite tasty. The toilet facilities here were not the best, they are much better at the attractions. We then paid the extra charge to go on a short boat ride across the Nile. We finally ended the tour at the Temple of Karnak which was very impressive. We dropped the guide off and went for a long drive back to Makadi Bay.

Beautiful day in Luxor
Hoda, our very inspiring guide had an incredible knowledge of Egyptian history, the Pharaos and all their gods and she managed to explain it so that we could really understand everything ( and it’s a lot of information). I want to come back and do the Nobel’s tombs next time. It’s all so fascinating! Thank you for an unforgettable day in Luxor

Luxor Private day tour from Makadi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.
How much does Luxor Private day tour from Makadi cost?
+
Prices start at $200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Luxor Private day tour from Makadi take?
+
Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.
Is Luxor Private day tour from Makadi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Luxor Private day tour from Makadi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Luxor Private day tour from Makadi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Luxor Private day tour from Makadi?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Luxor Private day tour from Makadi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hurghada?
+
On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada Diving Adventure one Day with two Dives Boat Trip, Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Scuba Diving Full Day Boat Trip W/Lunch & Transfer from Hurghada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hurghada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
