Luxor June 2026
We booked our Luxor trip through Sara Mohamed, and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish! ❤️ Sara sent us our full itinerary beforehand and went through everything with us thoroughly, answering any questions we had and making sure we knew exactly what to expect. Our guide was fantastic too! He explained everything in so much detail and really brought the history to life. At one point, he even used my hubby as the king 👑😂 to help explain the history, which made it even more memorable! We learned so much and genuinely had such a brilliant experience. Everything was organised perfectly, and we felt looked after throughout the whole trip. A huge thank you to Sara and our amazing guide for making our Luxor experience so enjoyable. We would 100% recommend! 🇪🇬❤️ Also I highly recommend the trip down the River Nile

Fantastic Excursions in Egypt with Exceptional Service, Helpful Advice and Effortless Booking from Sara at Hurghada Fun
We used Hurghada Fun Day Trips during our stay in Egypt a couple of months ago and had a fantastic experience. Sara Mohamed was exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional from start to finish. Booking our excursions through her could not have been easier; everything was effortless, well organised, and clearly explained. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and Sara was always happy to offer advice and answer all of our questions quickly. She helped us choose the best trips for our holiday and made the whole process stress-free. We would highly recommend Hurghada Fun Day Trips, especially Sara, to anyone visiting Egypt.

Magical day out
An amazing day from start to finish. No rushing around at stops, plenty of time to see all the sights. Nile cruise was amazing. Our tour guide Mimo was incredible and very knowledgeable. Thank you Sara for your faultless organising skills. Highly recommend using this company for any excursion

It’s great that you enjoyed the Nile cruise and that Mimo made the experience even better with his knowledge. I’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to him as well 🌴 Really appreciate your lovely feedback and recommendation, and I’m so glad I could help with the organisation and make everything run smoothly for you ✨

Beautiful scenary, too many money scavenging
The trip was advertised as around three hours, but in reality it took four and a half hours to reach Luxor due to very frequent stops by the drivers. This made the journey longer and more tiring than expected. The minibus itself was a positive: comfortable, easy to ride in, and overall fine for a long drive. Unfortunately, I was not very satisfied with the Egyptologist guide. His English was quite limited, and it was often hard to understand explanations. The information shared was very basic, with few new or interesting facts beyond what most visitors already know. Throughout the day, I constantly felt pressure to spend extra money — small tips, optional activities, side stops — which made the experience feel uncomfortable and commercial rather than cultural. One optional stop was a “Nile lagoon” experience, which we paid €30 for two people. We were told we would see animals, but we saw none at all. I would strongly advise skipping this part. The Valley of the Kings was excellent, but be aware that the standard ticket only includes three tombs. Entrance to Tutankhamun’s tomb requires additional payment. It is probably worth seeing, although we chose not to. Lunch was very disappointing — limited choices, low quality, and honestly closer to a one-star restaurant experience. On the positive side, the Hatshepsut Temple was amazing and absolutely worth the visit. The guide handled tickets and transport efficiently, and the tour ended fairly early (around 2 PM). We departed very early in the morning and arrived in Luxor around 9 AM, so the timing itself was well organized. Overall, while the main historical sites are impressive, the experience was reduced by often trying to get more money. This has a lot of potential to make it better.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. All information regarding timings, itinerary, and any optional extras is always clearly provided at the time of booking, along with full details so guests can make an informed decision before confirming. Nothing is added on the day without it being explained in advance. If there’s ever anything you’re unsure about before booking, we’re always happy to clarify so expectations are completely clear from the start.

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Luxor Bus Tour From Hurghada: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.
How much does Luxor Bus Tour From Hurghada cost?
+
Prices start at $103 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Luxor Bus Tour From Hurghada take?
+
Plan for about 18 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.
Is Luxor Bus Tour From Hurghada worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Luxor Bus Tour From Hurghada?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Luxor Bus Tour From Hurghada suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 18-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Luxor Bus Tour From Hurghada?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 18-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Luxor Bus Tour From Hurghada start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hurghada?
+
On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada Diving Adventure one Day with two Dives Boat Trip, Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Scuba Diving Full Day Boat Trip W/Lunch & Transfer from Hurghada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hurghada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
