    Unique tour

Our driver, Jeremy, was the best part of the tour. He was funny and informative. It had rained that morning so the glowing wasn't as bright as expected. Okay tour, but not worth the price we paid.

    Amazing natural wonder.

We went as a couple and really enjoyed this unique experience, the water does really glow as you swim about and makes your arms luminous as you take them out of the water. The water is warm and a max of 4 feet deep, beware though the bottom feels very strange so I’d advise using swim shoes.

    Trying to make the water...

Trying to make the water glow between the hot and cold waters. The captain was great with his history and instructions.

    Amazing honeymoon excursion

Our driver was ready waiting for us at the resort. On the way, we stopped for a few minutes to check out some local shops. The driver was great because he talked about places as we past them. When we got to the lagoon at sunset and when it got dark we went out on the water. It was beautiful and anyone visiting Jamaica should definitely try this.

Response from the operator: Dear Customer, We know you have choices so we are extremely grateful that you chose us above the rest! Thanks for booking with us and taking time out of your busy schedule to tell us about it! It was our pleasure serving you and we look forward to seeing you when next you travel. DO NOT GO HERE!! SAVE YOUR MONEY

I would give this zero stars if I could. I went with a group of eight people we show up to a bar/restaurant where there is at least 65 people waiting to get on a boat. We go up to the bar to get our “complimentary” drink; the bartender poured this rum punch from a jug and it seriously tasted like poison. Finally they put my group and about 20 other people into a boat and head for the lagoon. You could tell that the person driving the boat was thinking ‘oh crap’ in his head because literally there was no luminous water of any kind. Some people went in and there was absolutely nothing that happened. After trying to find where the luminous water would be the captain then informed us that since it was an overcast day that he knew that there would be no luminous water. HE EVEN THEN SAID DON’T TELL UR FRIENDS OR FAMILY ABOUT THIS SO THEY CAN COME TRY IT FOR THEMSELVES. Leaving me to wonder why they would have tourist pay money come out there, spend over two hours if they knew at the start of the activity that it would not work. It seemed very slimy and shady. We did not get our money back. This company is scheming tourist out of money.

Response from the operator: Dear Customer, Thanks for booking with us and giving us your feedback! We are truly disappointed that you did not get the real experience of the glow in the lagoon! The Luminous Lagoon Has been a #1 attraction in Jamaica for many years since 1963 when John Hopkins from the John Hopkins University discovered and studied it. Over the years, millions of satisfied visitors went and still go there to experience this magical wonder that is only found at this location in Jamaica. The lagoon is totally controlled by nature and sometimes, for unknown reasons, nature choose to not give us what we are expecting. We do not enjoy when our guests are so disappointed. We would like to invite you back another time when the condition at the lagoon is different so you can see the magical moment for yourself. We are looking forward to seeing you again! Kind regards, Natalia M Manager

Luminous Lagoon "Glistening Waters" Tour from Grand Palladium Resorts: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montego Bay.

How much does Luminous Lagoon "Glistening Waters" Tour from Grand Palladium Resorts cost?

    +

Prices start at $115 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Luminous Lagoon "Glistening Waters" Tour from Grand Palladium Resorts take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montego Bay is not rushed.

Is Luminous Lagoon "Glistening Waters" Tour from Grand Palladium Resorts worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Luminous Lagoon "Glistening Waters" Tour from Grand Palladium Resorts?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Luminous Lagoon "Glistening Waters" Tour from Grand Palladium Resorts suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Luminous Lagoon "Glistening Waters" Tour from Grand Palladium Resorts?

    +

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Luminous Lagoon "Glistening Waters" Tour from Grand Palladium Resorts start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?

    +

On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Montego Bay?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
