    Beautiful hike and cultural experience

This was a wonderful hike with beautiful views of mountain meadows with wildflowers, forest and the canyon below. Along the way we met a shepherd from Lukomir watching over her flock. Afterwards I enjoyed a delicious meal in the home of one of the Lukomir families. And talking with the hike guide gave me additional insight into life in Bosnia. Overall it was a great experience and an interesting break from the normal sightseeing.

Response from the operator: Dear Steve, I'm glad that you enjoyed on our tour, and thank you very much for the review. Lukomir is a beautiful and unique place so it always a pleasure to share its beauty with different people. Kind regards from the TT-Tours team

    Absolutely fantastic trip!

We completed the Lukomir Village Hiking Tour today and it was an amazing trip. Almedin, from Tallest Tourguide Tours, accompanied us. The team: Almedin, our hiking guide Hedija, and driver were an absolute pleasure to be around. They were friendly, answered all our questions and provided great information. Our entire family enjoyed the hike, visiting the village and lunch. The tour started with a 2 to 2.5 hour hike to Lukomir. The scenery was spectacular and it was a refreshing break from the city. We then had a wonderful lunch in town, followed by a tour of the traditional village (with cute chickens, sheep, dogs, etc.). The people in the town were very friendly as well. I would definitely recommend this tour specifically and Almedin & Tallest Tour Guide in general to anyone visiting Sarajevo.

Response from the operator: Dear John, Thank you so much for the review, and of course for choosing us to be your guides through Sarajevo. We are happy to hear/read that you were satisfied with the service that our agency provided to you. Kind Regards, Nikola, TT - Tours team

How much does Lukomir Hike: Full Day Trek to Bosnia's Highest Mountain Village cost?

    +

Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sarajevo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lukomir Hike: Full Day Trek to Bosnia's Highest Mountain Village take?

Is Lukomir Hike: Full Day Trek to Bosnia's Highest Mountain Village worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sarajevo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sarajevo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sarajevo and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

What are the best things to do in Sarajevo?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sarajevo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Fall of Yugoslavia, Sarajevo War Tour with Tunnel of Hope Museum and Frontlines, From Sarajevo: Srebrenica Genocide Memorial Study Tour, Tunnel Museum: Bosnian & Yugoslav Wars Tour with War Veteran. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sarajevo?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sarajevo?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
