Insight into siege of Sarajevo
Great insight into life in Sarajevo during the siege. Our guide Mak had lived through this period and was able to provide a moving first person account of what this period did to those living in the city. Now is the time to do this tour and to hear first hand from those that were there. It does leave you with much to think about. Very well organised so no worries on that front, pick up straightforward and opportunities for bathroom/refreshments.

You cannot miss this tour.
You can't absolutely miss this if you are interested and want to go deeply into what happened in Sarajevo during the siege. The guide is very professional and also personally involved in that war: he is passionate about his job and provides very interesting information. Recommended!

Unforgettable and eye opening
Our guide, Adnan, was fantastic. As a veteran in the Yugoslavian army and then fighting for Bosnian independence, he was extremely knowledgeable and provided s unique first hand accounts of his experience during the conflicts. It is hard to fathom what people endured to survive. Despite the heavy nature of the tour, Adnan incorporated humor and really provided a unique and unforgettable experience. We saw multiple important historic sites, got door to door service and left with a deeper understanding of Sarajevo and the resilience of its people. Sarajevo is a gem of intercultural dynamics, changing power dynamics and patchwork history and architecture. Definitely recommend.

Must do, great value
This tour was really amazing with Mak as our guide. He is rapid-fire with all the information, going into great detail, with much of the focus on the period 92 to 95 but also regarding other sites along the way. We actually saw much more than I had expected, with time for getting a complete view, and Mak was good about making sure everyone had good photos taken of themselves. I find it hard to believe this tour doesn't cost more than it does, considering how much it covers. If all you have planned is walking around in the Ottoman and Austrian sections of old town, you're really missing a lot and this is certainly the best alternative to see pretty much everything else. I also recommend taking the 2:00 tour, which finished just in time for great sunset photos from the Yellow Fort.
