What you'll see and do

  1. Le Mura di Lucca

You will meet your guide just outside the train station and in a few steps you will see the majestic city walls which represent the pride of Lucca. After a brief historical introduction we will be on the top of the fortification ready to enjoy a short relaxing stroll along the tree-lined boulevards, while you listen to the anecdotes of the town and admire beautiful landscapes.

    15 minutes here

  2. Duomo Di San Martino

Our walk moves down to the city centre discovering the medieval fascinating narrow alleys that lead us to the magnificent Romanesque marble Cathedral. You will get to know interesting stories and the meaning the people from Lucca give to them just before heading into the charming Napoleon square aligned by secular sycamores. This square plays an important role for the city, today as in the past, hosting the Lucca Summer festival event every July.

    30 minutes here

  3. San Michele in Foro

After this pleasant stroll you will experience our first foodie stop near the popular San Michele Square; we will visit a friendly bakery attended by locals who come here to enjoy a drink and try a piece of cecina, a kind of focaccia made with “mysterious” ingredients.

    30 minutes here

  4. Via Fillungo

The lively shopping street of Via Fillungo is very close on our Lucca walk and you will find out with your guide some of the most elegant artisan parlours in town. Fashion, leather, local food and wine and perfumes - this could be the perfect moment to get familiar with some authentic souvenirs to pick up from your Tuscan trip. In the middle of the road, you can also admire the Romanesque San Frediano Church.

    15 minutes here

  5. Piazza Anfiteatro

Our tour will lead us then to explore Lucca’s most authentic public area, the Amphitheatre. The square, ingeniously created on top of a Roman amphitheatre. Afterwards, dive into the past as your guide shows you Lucca’s most famous symbol, the iconic Guinigi tower, very famous for the trees placed on the roof terrace.

    15 minutes here

  6. Torre Guinigi

You can’t become a real Italian for a day if you don’t take part in the traditional aperitivo ritual in town. Your guide will teach you where and how people from Lucca like to enjoy a glass of wine and some delicious snacks. We will stop at a glamorous Vineria located in a fascinating place and you will finally relax during the sunset awaiting for the wine and food of the day. Here we’ll say ‘arrivederci’ to you, but the night is not over, don’t forget to ask your guide for some tips on nightlife. Salute!

Lucca Aperitivo evening walk with food and wine for Small Groups: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lucca.

How much does Lucca Aperitivo evening walk with food and wine for Small Groups cost?

+

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lucca usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lucca Aperitivo evening walk with food and wine for Small Groups take?

+

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lucca is not rushed.

Is Lucca Aperitivo evening walk with food and wine for Small Groups worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 49 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lucca, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lucca Aperitivo evening walk with food and wine for Small Groups?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lucca Aperitivo evening walk with food and wine for Small Groups suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Lucca Aperitivo evening walk with food and wine for Small Groups?

+

Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lucca can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lucca and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lucca Aperitivo evening walk with food and wine for Small Groups start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lucca within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lucca?

+

On Outty we rank every Lucca experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lucca: Wine Tasting Experience - Tenuta Adamo Winery, Lucca’s Ultimate Food Tour: Full Tuscan Meal by Do Eat Better, Tuscan Wine Tour in Lucca by van. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lucca?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lucca?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
