About this experience
Although located only a short distance apart, Santa Maria Bay and Chileno Bay offer noticeably different marine environments. Santa Maria's horseshoe-shaped cove provides natural protection from prevailing swell, while Chileno Bay is known for its extensive rocky reef habitat. Traveling between the two by kayak offers a perspective of the coastline unavailable from shore, while snorkeling reveals the underwater ecosystems that make the Sea of Cortez one of the world's most celebrated marine environments. Experiencing both bays in a single outing provides a broader appreciation of the coastal diversity found along the Los Cabos shoreline.

Kayak tour is incredible
Mono was an incredible guide. Taking us snorkeling, kayaking and telling us all about the fish and land. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you so much for your review! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed your kayaking and snorkeling adventure at Santa María Cove and Chileno Bay. José Luis López, better known as "Monito," will be very happy to hear your kind words. One of the things that makes him such a great guide is his passion for sharing not only the marine life of the Sea of Cortez, but also the natural history, geography, and unique ecosystems that make Los Cabos such a special destination. The Two Bays experience is one of our favorite outdoor adventures in Baja California Sur because it combines kayaking, snorkeling, beautiful coastal scenery, and incredible wildlife all in one tour. We’re glad Monito helped bring those places to life for you and made the experience both fun and educational. Thank you for your recommendation and for choosing High Tide Los Cabos. If you enjoyed learning about the fish and marine environment, we think you would absolutely love a future snorkeling adventure to Cabo Pulmo, one of the most spectacular marine parks in North America. Fun adventure in small group
Fernando and Mauri were great guides! Took us on a wavy but very doable kayak out to see the arch and then back to snorkel off the beach.
Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you so much for your review! We’re really happy to hear you enjoyed your kayaking and snorkeling adventure around the Arch in Cabo San Lucas. Fernando and Maury Sanchez will be very happy to hear your kind words. Ocean conditions in the Sea of Cortez can sometimes bring a little extra adventure with the waves, but we’re glad the experience still felt fun, manageable, and enjoyable for your group. Paddling out near El Arco and then snorkeling from the beach is such a classic Los Cabos experience, especially when you get that mix of beautiful scenery, ocean energy, and marine life all in one morning. Thank you again for joining us, and next time you’re back in Baja California Sur, you’d probably really enjoy our Paddle Board & Snorkel tour for another fun way to explore the Cabo coastline. Why this scores 92
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Los Cabos 2 Bays Kayak & Snorkel at Santa Maria & Chileno Bay: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cabo San Lucas.
How much does Los Cabos 2 Bays Kayak & Snorkel at Santa Maria & Chileno Bay cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cabo San Lucas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Los Cabos 2 Bays Kayak & Snorkel at Santa Maria & Chileno Bay take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cabo San Lucas is not rushed.
Is Los Cabos 2 Bays Kayak & Snorkel at Santa Maria & Chileno Bay worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 92 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 678 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cabo San Lucas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Los Cabos 2 Bays Kayak & Snorkel at Santa Maria & Chileno Bay?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Los Cabos 2 Bays Kayak & Snorkel at Santa Maria & Chileno Bay suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Los Cabos 2 Bays Kayak & Snorkel at Santa Maria & Chileno Bay?
+
Around 237 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cabo San Lucas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cabo San Lucas and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Los Cabos 2 Bays Kayak & Snorkel at Santa Maria & Chileno Bay start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cabo San Lucas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas?
+
On Outty we rank every Cabo San Lucas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo Desert Off-Road & Beach Horseback Combo and Tequila Tasting, Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo All-Inclusive Private Beach Club with Open Bar and Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cabo San Lucas?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cabo San Lucas?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
