What you get
About this experience
Unlike conventional mass cruise tours, the adventure offers you an authentic connection to the essence of Jalisco. Here's why we're your best choice: Authenticity from the first minute : We start with a local transport journey to Boca de Tomatlan. You’re not just a tourist on a private bus; you’re a traveler experiencing the vibrant daily life and spectacular scenery of the coastal road as a real local. Exclusive Access by Sea: By using water taxis from the picturesque fishing village, we guarantee an intimate and exciting arrival to Majahuitas, a paradise that only a few manage to know because of its difficult land access. Underwater Quality Time: While other tours limit snorkeling to 30 or 45 minutes, we give you 90 minutes of total immersion. We want you to really explore, swim among the fish banks and enjoy the natural aquarium without rushing.

Well worth the money compared to rival competitors
Rodrigo here I give this a 5 star trip. No need to be skeptical trip is well worth it our guides were amazing and accommodating our bilingual tour. We got to see alot of fishes under the sea with our snorkeling mask, water was warm these guides take you to a cool beach after snorkeling where you can tan,sit down read a book and jump of the pier to dive right into the ocean. I will also recommend paying the 500 extra pesos in person for adventure park to go do some extreme climbing [I wasn't able to take photos because of the height and recommendation of not brining my phone by the guide). 100% worth the money compared to 6 of the other tours I've gone these past 5 years.
Response from the operator: Hi Rodrigo! Thank you so much for the 5-star review. Coming from someone who has experienced 6 other tours in the last 5 years, your recommendation means the world to us! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the bilingual service and that 'cool beach' vibe at Las Animas. It’s also great that you mentioned the adventure park upgrade—it really is worth those extra 500 pesos for the adrenaline rush! Our guides always prioritize safety, so we're glad you followed the advice on the phone. Hope to see you again for round 7!

Very pleasant activity!
Very nice trip by bus and taxi boat! It was cool snorkelling. Arturo is a very good guide! We thought we could be on the beach at the place of snorkeling but we were rather on the beach of las Aminas.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed the bus and water taxi adventure with Arturo. Regarding the location, our snorkeling takes place at a beautiful marine reserve (accessible only by boat to ensure the best fish sightings), and then we head to Las Animas beach for the rest of the activities and relaxation. We hope to see you again soon!

That is the way to Snorkel in PV
Arturo is a wonderful guide lots of information as needed. Location was very full of a great variety of species and 90 minutes of water time was just right for us. The ride in public transit provided exposure to how essential public transit is to Mexican people.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review! We are glad you enjoyed the 90 minutes of snorkeling; we truly believe that more time in the water makes the experience better. Arturo loves sharing his knowledge with our guests, and it's great that you appreciated the authentic 'local vibe' of the public transit ride. It really is a window into our daily life! We hope to see you again soon

Local Adventure Snorkeling in Majahuitas and Relaxation Day on the Beach: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Local Adventure Snorkeling in Majahuitas and Relaxation Day on the Beach cost?
+
Prices start at $800 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Local Adventure Snorkeling in Majahuitas and Relaxation Day on the Beach take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Local Adventure Snorkeling in Majahuitas and Relaxation Day on the Beach worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Local Adventure Snorkeling in Majahuitas and Relaxation Day on the Beach?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Local Adventure Snorkeling in Majahuitas and Relaxation Day on the Beach suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Local Adventure Snorkeling in Majahuitas and Relaxation Day on the Beach?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Local Adventure Snorkeling in Majahuitas and Relaxation Day on the Beach start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
