Amazing Sunset Cruise. Hard to Imagine It Being Better
Following the recommendation of our fantastic local tour guide, my wife and I booked a sunset cruise with Bluemotion for the final evening of our honeymoon—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Simon and Haley, our captain and first mate, were both outstanding. They shared engaging stories and fascinating facts about the sights as we cruised. Their warmth and friendliness throughout made the experience even better. The boat was just the right size: spacious and comfortable without feeling crowded, unlike the larger ships we saw. We enjoyed snacks and wine as we sailed to make the experience that much more enjoyable. They also have blankets for when it got cold as the sun set. It was a truly unforgettable way to end our honeymoon and would be a wonderful experience for anyone looking to close out a day in style. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!

A Can’t-Miss Activity in Lisbon
On our first full day, my wife and I took the sunset boat tour on Lisbon's long and wide river that leads out to the Atlantic. We had to do this, after viewing such a tour on Apple TV's "The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy" (from February 24, 2023). As a student of sailing, I highly recommend Bluemotion Lisbon. Simão and his crew were expert at maneuvering their sloop from bank to bank and under the grand Vasco da Gama bridge. All the while they graciously served us a superb Portuguese wine and snacks. This is a must-do activity while visiting Lisbon, and not just for the views. You are charting the same waters as the 15th Century explorers. Don't miss it!

YOU WON'T REGRET THIS ONE
Excellent Tour Well Worth it. We rented this tour as a way to memorably end our stay in Portugal and could not be happier. It was quite romantic, remarkably scenic, and entirely fulfilling. Our guides, Simon and Kaian ( not sure on spelling --pronounced cayenne) were truly amazing and extremely easygoing --they were 1000% attentive, engaging, and extremely caring, The sailboat is comfortable and can easily seat 12 people and has a bathroom downstairs. We should have invited friends but wanted it just for ourselves this last day of vacation in Lisbon. The panoramic views of various monuments and skyline was breathtaking. I was initally skeptical that I would feel safe on a sailboat but can tell you at no time did I feel in danger in fact I was completely relaxed. Overall, if you can book a tour with Simon and Kaian you would be in great hands and have a luxurious, fulfilling, and memorable experience that few can boast!!

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Lisbon: Wine Tasting with Sommelier on a Private Sailboat: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Lisbon: Wine Tasting with Sommelier on a Private Sailboat cost?
+
Prices start at $470 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Lisbon: Wine Tasting with Sommelier on a Private Sailboat take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Lisbon: Wine Tasting with Sommelier on a Private Sailboat worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Lisbon: Wine Tasting with Sommelier on a Private Sailboat?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Lisbon: Wine Tasting with Sommelier on a Private Sailboat suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Lisbon: Wine Tasting with Sommelier on a Private Sailboat?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Lisbon: Wine Tasting with Sommelier on a Private Sailboat start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
