A pleasant drive from Lisbon to Madrid.

Our driver Alfredo was on time and showed up in a very clean and pleasant Mercedes Van stocked with water bottles. He communicated with us before and during our trip thru WhatsApp, which made it very convenient. We stopped at Évora and Merida for our two official stops and Alfredo gave us recommendations on what to do and where to eat. He also personally walked us thru Evora so we wouldn’t miss the sites. Also, when the weather got too hot for us to take our tour of the Roman Theater, he was easy to get a hold of and had the van cooled off and waiting for us outside the entrance. We arrived in Madrid on time and he got us to our hotel in time to grab dinner. I definitely recommend this tour as a nice alternative to flying or taking public transportation.

Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thank you very much for sharing such a thoughtful and detailed review. We are delighted to know that your private transfer from Lisbon to Madrid with Alfredo was such a smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable experience. Your kind words highlight exactly the level of service we strive to deliver at Meridian4People. Alfredo’s punctuality, his spotless and welcoming Mercedes van, and the convenience of clear communication throughout the journey are qualities we value deeply. We are very pleased to hear how much you appreciated the stops in Évora and Mérida, along with his personal recommendations and the guided walk through Évora to ensure you didn’t miss its most iconic sites. Your mention of the moment when the weather became too hot is especially meaningful — knowing that Alfredo was easy to reach and had the van cooled and ready for you reflects the attentive care we aim to provide in every situation. Arriving in Madrid on time and comfortably settled for dinner is exactly the seamless experience we want our guests to enjoy. We are truly grateful for your recommendation of this transfer as a pleasant and convenient alternative to flying or public transportation. Thank you for choosing Meridian4People. We hope to welcome you again on a future visit to Portugal or Spain. Warm regards, Meridian4People Team

    A Drive to Remember

The three of us went from Lisbon to Madrid with selected stops in Merida and Toledo, Spain. Our driver was Jose Pinho. The day before our trip, I received an e-mail with all of the necessary trip logistics, the name of the driver, and vehicle information. The driver was right on time and the vehicle was spacious and very clean. The driver was fantastic and he was a top notch driver. He was so nice and we learned a lot about Portuguese culture and the land that we were driving through. He helped us to make our decisions about which of the possible stops met our sightseeing preferences and provided top notch recommendations on how best to see the sights we were interested in. He also went out of his way to make sure we saw what we wanted to see. It was a lovely day and I have no regrets about paying more than a bus as we not only traveled to Madrid, but the day was spent sightseeing instead of just moving from one spot to another. I would highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Dear 165_EJS, Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review. We’re delighted to hear that your journey from Lisbon to Madrid was such a memorable and enriching experience. José Pinho will be truly happy to read your kind words. His punctuality, professionalism and thoughtful guidance — from helping you choose the best stops to tailoring the visit to your sightseeing preferences — are qualities we value deeply. It’s great to know that his knowledge of Portuguese culture and the regions you travelled through added so much to your day. We’re also very pleased that the vehicle comfort, clear pre‑trip communication and overall logistics contributed to a smooth and enjoyable experience. Turning a long transfer into a full day of sightseeing is exactly what we aim to deliver, and we’re thrilled that you felt it was worth it. Thank you sincerely for your high recommendation. We hope to welcome you again on a future trip through Portugal or Spain. Warm regards, The Meridian4People Team

    Refund requested

While our driver was excellent, we, 4 grown adults, were put into a sedan for an 8 hour car ride. We were supposed to have an XL type vehicle or small van. We also had no WiFi. It was very crowded and uncomfortable and we would like a refund.

Response from the operator: Dear Jill, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced. Our company prides itself on delivering high‑quality service and ensuring that every guest feels comfortable and well cared for. In this case, an internal assignment error occurred, and we acknowledged it immediately. For 4 adults, our standard practice is to upgrade the service to a minivan as a courtesy, precisely to ensure comfort on a long journey. When your driver arrived and saw 4 passengers, he contacted our operations team right away. We worked urgently to correct the situation and attempted to send a larger vehicle. Unfortunately, the only available van in Lisbon would take around 3 hours to reach the pickup point. We fully understood your decision not to wait and to continue with the sedan so the tour could proceed without further delay. As a sincere gesture of apology, we covered the entrance tickets for all 4 guests in Mérida and extended the visit. On a standard itinerary, we include approximately 2 hours in Mérida and 1 hour in Toledo; in your case, the time spent in both locations exceeded this, and nothing additional was charged or requested. We wanted to ensure you still enjoyed the experience despite the initial setback. We genuinely regret that your comfort was affected and appreciate your understanding. We always strive to be fair with our guests, and we value the same fairness in return. Your feedback is very important to us and helps us continue improving the quality of our service. Lisbon to Madrid Up to 3 stops: Evora, Merida and Toledo: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Lisbon to Madrid Up to 3 stops: Evora, Merida and Toledo cost?

    +

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lisbon to Madrid Up to 3 stops: Evora, Merida and Toledo take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Lisbon to Madrid Up to 3 stops: Evora, Merida and Toledo worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lisbon to Madrid Up to 3 stops: Evora, Merida and Toledo?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lisbon to Madrid Up to 3 stops: Evora, Merida and Toledo suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Lisbon to Madrid Up to 3 stops: Evora, Merida and Toledo?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lisbon to Madrid Up to 3 stops: Evora, Merida and Toledo start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
