MAGICAL

Lime as every capital is chaos!!! the truth is not much to see but the coastal and emblematic places of the capital (San isidro, the government house, etc) now CUZCO is a wonderful thing !!! dedicate time because you do not reach the eyes to see everything and I do not tell you HUMANTAY lagoon or MACHU PICHU simply magic!!

Best way to experience Peru

I was already excited to visit Lima, Cusco, and Machu Picchu but the entire Sun Gate team made the trip awesome and carefree. From making sure we got to and from the airport and everywhere in between. Slyvana was our guide in Lima. She took us through the market, introduced us to Chef Ruth where we had the best time cooking traditional Peruvian dishes, to our city tour. Along the way, we learned and laughed so much. And then, Claudio, our all-purpose tour guide in Cusco and Machu. He gave us the tour of Cusco, then two days in Machu and Aguas Calientes. He was super-awseome on our Inka Trail hike where he was a teacher and personal trainer giving us just the right balance of push and rest to make it through the trail in under six hours. Wow, those views of history!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful and enthusiastic review! We’re thrilled to hear that your journey through Lima, Cusco, and Machu Picchu was everything you hoped for and more. It’s wonderful to know that Slyvana made your culinary and cultural experience in Lima so engaging, and that Claudio brought both expertise and motivation to your time in Cusco and on the Inca Trail. We’re proud to have guides who not only share Peru’s rich history but also create personal, unforgettable moments along the way. Your kind words mean a lot to our entire team. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon! Warm regards, David Quispe

Totally Recommend Sun Gate Tours!

We traveled with Sun Gate Tours in August 2022 - Lima & Machu Picchu Quick 5 Days. We have been on many tours and some are just OK, but Sun Gate tours is top of the line. Since we were already traveling in Peru prior to taking the tour, we had to make changes to the itinerary. Ximenia was amazing - she was able to make all additional arrangements and was quick to reply to emails - at all hours of the day! Our tour guides Wilfredo and Eddy (Machu Picchu) were great and really made the trip - They were knowledgeable and fun! Our guide Doris took care of all hotel arrangements and transfers - she stayed in constant contact with us. We always knew where we were to go next. It was a great tour and was so easy having all details taken care of for us. We could relax and just enjoy yourselves. The tour is activity filled, but if you are short of time - it is definitely the way to go to see some amazing sights!

Lima & Machu Picchu Quick 5 Days: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does Lima & Machu Picchu Quick 5 Days cost?

+

Prices start at $1049 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lima & Machu Picchu Quick 5 Days take?

+

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is Lima & Machu Picchu Quick 5 Days worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lima & Machu Picchu Quick 5 Days?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Lima & Machu Picchu Quick 5 Days suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 120-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Lima & Machu Picchu Quick 5 Days?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lima & Machu Picchu Quick 5 Days start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
