About this experience

This experience accompanies you from the bay of Levanto to the discovery of its splendid valley. Our journey will start by discovering the terraced hills of the Vallata di Levanto Cooperative with the typical crops of olive trees and vines. We will smell its scents and appreciate its colors and then continue the journey back in time towards the villages of the valley. Glimpses of Lavaggiorosso and an exploration of the village of Lizza will then take us to the top of Monte delle Streghe. From the ridge steeped in legends we will descend towards the Convent and church of Ss. Annunziata to then conclude our sensory journey with a stop at the S. Anna vineyard with a tasting of three DOC wines from the Vallata di Levanto Cooperative and typical products such as olives, pesto, focaccia. A trek for the five senses! The route is 60% on a path or dirt road and the remainder on asphalt, it is 7km long and covers a height difference of 400m.

Educational, active and relaxing!

Thank you Frederico for the pleasant experience and your enthusiasm! Thanks to your tour, we came to see and know things we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. The final touch on the mountain between the vines was the icing on the cake! Here we could enjoy the view, snacks, wine and your company ☺️. Highly recommended!

Get to know Levanto and its wines!

A little bleu started on this wine tour, but it was more than worth it. After some personal contact we met at a cafe and the tour started. We got to know all the nice places of Levanto and then climbed to the vines, to enjoy the wines, local delicacies and the super view. It felt like a ‘hidden spot’ for us to bypass the rest of this busy tourist area. Our tour-guide Frederico got us excited and took us from the beginning to the end into his stories, not only fun, cool facts about the city, but eventually there were also personal stories with a lot of recognition. Our tip: book this a bit at the beginning of your holiday, then you will learn a lot from the cities where you still have to go according to this local and the restaurants that are worthwhile!

Exceptional hike with lots of information about the region and its products

You can certainly take many hikes on your own here in the region, but the paths Frederico shows you definitely not. It is a unique opportunity to walk through a vineyard, an olive grove and learn a lot about regional wine and olive oil production. With Frederico you go off the beaten track and learn a lot of interesting information about the region, the development and the interaction of land and coast. The final picnic was really earned and ended the morning excellently. Again with lots of interesting information and a great conversation. Grazie mille Frederico 🤗

Perfect town nestled next to the Cinque Terre

A wonderful town 1 train stop from the Cinque Terre! It is the perfect place to stay if you wish to be in a slightly bigger town instead of staying in one of the five Terre. More places are open and the train station is a maximum 10 minute walk from anywhere in the town.

Response from the operator: This is the page of an experience, you've reviewed the town of Levanto not the experience that I lead in the valley. Can you please delete this review?

Lievàntu Wine Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Spezia.

How much does Lievàntu Wine Experience cost?

+

Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Spezia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lievàntu Wine Experience take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Spezia is not rushed.

Is Lievàntu Wine Experience worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Spezia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lievàntu Wine Experience?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lievàntu Wine Experience suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Lievàntu Wine Experience?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Spezia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Spezia and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lievàntu Wine Experience start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Spezia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in La Spezia?

+

On Outty we rank every La Spezia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include La Spezia: Taste Cinque Terre on a Food Tour by Do Eat Better, Portovenere & Three Islands Small Group Boat Tour from La Spezia, 5 Islands from La Spezia: full day boat trip with swimming stops. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit La Spezia?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in La Spezia?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
