Amazing!!
I had the privilege of experiencing Mumbai through an LGBTQ-friendly city tour with Rahil Khan — and I can say without hesitation that this was one of the most meaningful experiences I’ve had while traveling. From the very beginning, Rahil created a space where I felt profoundly safe, welcomed, seen, and respected. What unfolded throughout the day was so much more than a tour. It became a day rooted in conversation, laughter, vulnerability, shared humanity, and genuine connection. Rahil has a rare gift. He doesn’t simply guide you through Mumbai — he brings the city to life in a way that feels intimate, authentic, and deeply personal. He introduced me to local places and hidden corners of the city I never would have discovered on my own, all while paying close attention to what I hoped to experience and understand during my time there. Every moment felt thoughtful. Every conversation felt real. What makes Rahil extraordinary is not only his knowledge of Mumbai, but the spirit with which he shares it. He is a phenomenal ally to the LGBTQ+ community and carries himself with kindness, openness, and care that immediately puts people at ease. It honestly felt like we had been friends for years from the moment we met. There are some people you encounter while traveling who leave a permanent imprint on your heart. Rahil is one of those people. I know without question that when I return to Mumbai, I will reach out to him again. Not simply because he was an incredible guide — but because he is a beautiful soul and someone whose presence made this enormous city feel human, warm, and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and book with someone who will not only show you a city, but who will truly see your humanity and recognize you in your fullness. Rahil is a gift, and spending a day exploring Mumbai with him was one of the greatest gifts of my journey.

Highly recommended
Such a great day with Rahul and Arvin - it was easy to book and they were very responsive with any questions beforehand. On the day it was a very personalised experience, we were able to adapt the tour on the day to take in a few sights we came across on the way! It was really a great way to experience this amazing city. It was a shame when the day came to an end !

Great Day in Mumbai - Excellent Guide and Service
My friend and I booked this tour for our recent trip to India. Everything was perfect and professional. From the time we booked, the company was in touch with us to make sure they could accommodate any requests we had. In fact, they added a stop to our itinerary per our request. I must say I was impressed with the contact and prompt replies! On the day of the tour, our guide and driver were ready for us at the appointed time. Both were excellent! Our guide Tiger was absolutely amazing - friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They planned a fantastic day for us and we were able to fit in exactly what we wanted to do - including the Gateway of India, synagogue, home where Gandhi stayed in Mumbai, train ride, seaside, Dhobi Ghat, etc. I highly recommend this tour, company, and guide!

Fantastic Full Day Tour (combined with Elephanta Caves)
My second tour (Part B) with this fantastic Tour Company, run by a true professional in the Mumbai Tourism Industry - Mr Rahil Khan. his love for his city - Mumbai - truly shows! He makes you feel welcome and truly goes out of his way to give you an amazing time. (This was combined with the Elephanta Caves Tour on the same day, which began first in the morning - so apologies if some of it sounds the same) Now for the Tour - Wow! The guide - Wow! Suraj - call him “Retro” - I now refer to him as a friend. He is a great guy and has an absolutely fantastic work ethic! His knowledge of Mumbai, his friendly and caring nature, his overall enthusiasm for his job is an absolute credit to him. Also hearing his back story and upbringing - he is a shining light and deserves everything that comes before him. I can truly see him becoming a major force in the tourism industry. It was a full comprehensive city tour of Mumbai. Places visited and seen included: India gate, Taj Palace Hotel, Mumbai University, The magnificent Victoria Terminus, Crawford Market, The Gandhi Museum, Jain Temple, Hanging Gardens & Dobi Gat Laundry. Plenty of time to take photos, Retro without hesitation assists with photo taking - he makes you feel so comfortable - I had such a great time! To top it off, Retro altered it towards the end and I got to a ride on a Mumbai City Train! And yes - I survived! That topped it off greatly, this was followed by an Auto Rickshaw ride to the hotel - and again yes I survived! Amazing end to a wonderful full on day of sightseeing. I made so many memories and truly recommend you to consider this tour. The lunch provided at Metro Cafe was delicious also & snacks and drinks we’re provided throughout the Tour. No hesitation in recommending this tour - my Tour Guide Retro and the World Of Bollywood India Tours.

Marvellous private tour of Mumbai with Tiger.
My first visit to India was made most enjoyable and carefree due to the decication of World of Bollywood Tours in providing superb service. My guide for the private tour of Mumbai was Tiger, a most charming and knowledgeable young man who took a delight in showcasing the most interesting sights of Mumbai. Our driver was very skilled at negogtiating the some what erratic driving in Mumbai and was always able to find a parking space at all of the sightseeing spots. The itinerary was well planned and I was particularly delighted to have the opportunity of visiting the house where Gandhi had lived. Apart from the sightseeing, it was lovely to be able to chat with Tiger as a friend and indulge in the included tasty lunch. I was sad to bid farewell to Tiger at the end of a most enjoyable day. I can recommend this great value tour without hesitation.

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
LGBTQ Friendly Mumbai City Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mumbai.
How much does LGBTQ Friendly Mumbai City Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mumbai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does LGBTQ Friendly Mumbai City Tour take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mumbai is not rushed.
Is LGBTQ Friendly Mumbai City Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mumbai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule LGBTQ Friendly Mumbai City Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is LGBTQ Friendly Mumbai City Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book LGBTQ Friendly Mumbai City Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mumbai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mumbai and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does LGBTQ Friendly Mumbai City Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mumbai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mumbai?
+
On Outty we rank every Mumbai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Elephanta Caves & Island Guided Private Tour, Dharavi Slum Tour, Mumbai: Dharavi Slum & Dhobi Ghat Laundry Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mumbai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mumbai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
