We will by cycling on the Legacy trail. The Legacy Trail runs along an old Seaboard Railroad corridor between Venice and Sarasota. Beginning at the Historic Venice Train Depot, the first third of the way to Oscar Scherer State Park is the most scenic and diverse.

Warning - this tour does not go to the Fairmont!
This tour listing is apparently outdated and completely wrong. We paid extra for this tour looking forward to the 3 course lunch at the Fairmont. Instead, we were brought to a different restaurant downtown. While the food was good, it was in no way comparable to the equivalent price or experience of lunch at the Fairmont. The tour operator basically told us it was not their problem, that they have not gone to the Fairmont for over a year and that the listing details were not their fault. Do not book this tour if you are expecting lunch at the Fairmont! The tour was primarily on a path right along the highway.

We sincerely apologize that the lunch venue was different from what was listed in your third-party booking confirmation. While the Waldhaus at the Fairmont was originally part of this experience, we changed the lunch location after receiving consistent guest feedback that the previous restaurant was no longer providing the experience we wanted our guests to have. Rather than simply substituting one restaurant for another, we upgraded the culinary portion of the experience by providing a locally curated four-course meal instead of the advertised three-course lunch. We also included an additional complimentary stop where your group enjoyed our signature Bear Claw chocolate. We absorbed the additional costs associated with the upgraded food experience, tour guide, e-bikes, and bonus tasting because we wanted to ensure your group had an exceptional day. The pricing comparison referenced is based on a different product and currency. Our pricing for this experience is CAD $200 per person before destination fees and taxes. Pricing displayed by third-party booking platforms, including exchange rates, fees, and package pricing, is set independently and is outside of our control. Despite providing the upgraded experience, we also reimbursed USD $30 per person for all eight guests, for a total reimbursement of USD $240, as a goodwill gesture to address your concerns. We believe this was a fair resolution considering that the group still received the full guided e-bike experience, an upgraded four-course meal, and an additional complimentary tasting. Regarding concerns about the route, the Legacy Trail is a well-established paved recreational trail connecting Canmore and Banff and runs alongside portions of the Trans-Canada Highway. This is an inherent and publicly documented feature of the Legacy Trail route rather than a change made to your particular tour. Given the upgraded experience and the USD $240 reimbursement provided, we were disappointed that our efforts to resolve the matter were still met with the threat of a negative review. Our goal has always been to create memorable experiences, and we remain proud of the premium e-bike tour, locally curated four-course meal, and additional tasting your group received. We appreciate your feedback and will continue working with our third-party booking partners to ensure itinerary information is kept as current and accurate as possible.

Better than expected!
Beautiful day! Beautiful ride! Great guide…Olivia 😉. Good food. Definitely a workout for us… mid to late 60s. Loved riding through Canmore and Banff. Nice trails.

It’s a Great Way to Spend Your Day.
What a perfect day with our guide Olivia! We are in our mid to late 60s and knew it would be a good workout for us. This tour is wonderful. Great scenery, yummy food, comfortable and smooth riding e-bikes. The best part was Olivia… our own personal guide. Conversation was easy; I wanted to adopt her. She kept making sure we were close behind her, gave us clear instructions and descriptions of where and what we would be doing. She took pictures for us at each stop. She made our trip extra special. I’d do this tour again!

Spectacular views, great food and an amazing adventure. It’s a must do.
Our guide, Arthur, was awesome and friendly, sharing local insights, and great conversation. A great trip around Canmore and Banff, with key stops to check out the incredible views and enjoy some delicious food. The ride between Canmore and Banff is an experience we’ll never forget, and the e-bikes made it enjoyable for everyone in our group. We loved this tour and will definitely check out other Food Bike Tours when we’re back in the area.
