    Wonderful view of the mountains!

Rain caused us to not want to go to Grindelwald so we went back to Interlakken and Carlos stayed with us and showed us that village!! He was great!

We had a wonderful day, and an excellent guide! 5 stars!

This is an excellent tour! Our guide, Mary, ensured we were catching the correct trains, and was flexible with our wishes. I traveled with my 82 year old mother who uses a cane, and Mary was very careful with us. Mary gave us personalized service. We had a private tour which allowed us to adjust our itinerary. We highly recommend this tour. Request Mary as she has a wealth of information about the area.

    Top of Europe

We had an awesome time! The views were spectacular. Our guide Gina was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Highly recommend her! You’ll enjoy the waterfalls and the scenery. But most of all is the once in a lifetime experience to see the Top of Europe.

    See the Alps by train

Very nice tour. It was fun to get to ride the trains while in Switzerland. Seeing the Alps was amazing. There was snow falling when we got there and eating lunch with a beautiful view of the mountains was a once in a lifetime experience.

Do NOT book tours with this operator or you risk losing your money.

Very poor instructions from operator. Operator instructs you to meet at train station at 9:30. That's it. Nothing more. Good luck. The operator does not tell you where to meet the guide at train station. (There is a meeting point at train station, but that is not where you find the guide....really?). Also the train leaves at 9:30, so if you are waiting at the train station meeting point, at 9:30, you will miss the tour. And lose $500, because of the horrible instructions. Also the operator replied that it was my fault because I did not reply to an e mail three weeks ago. But I looked at the e mail again, and there is no request for anything, and there is no information on where to meet the guide. I suspect many people miss these tours and lose their money, but its the operators fault for misleading meeting time and location. It's like he is trying to confuse you so that you miss the tour and he keeps your money. I also set up a cheese tasting with him the next day (bad idea, but the guide highly recommended it) and when I showed up on time at 5:15, he sent me a message that he would be there in 30-45 minutes (yeah sure....cancel!) I recommend that Viator cancel this operator. Do NOT book this tour or use this operator. On the other hand, based on my frantic last minute effort to get more detail on where to meet at the train station, I luckily connected with the tour guide Gina on the train platform just minutes before the train left. Gina was awesome and very understanding (not her fault). 5 stars for Gina the tour guide, zero stars for the operator and owner.

What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Basel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Basel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
