Bandama crater
This was a lovely trip but quite a bit of walking involved so you do need a certain fitness, this is stated in the info though so it wasn't a problem for us. The views were amazing, Veguetta is a charming little town, the botanical gardens were not as colourful as I was expecting, mostly different kinds of cactus plants, some people may like it and some won't. The shopping mall we went to afterwards was very well laid out and clean with a variety of shops and places to eat. The driver was very good, especially with all the sharp bends and narrow roads..our tour guide was very clear on timings etc, we enjoyed it. Thank you

Max bus time max profits
Nearly four hours spent on bus just to get there and back as we drove around multiple hotels, switched to a larger coach to fit even more people, and waited for even more people again to fill in on the way back. These guys are maxing profits and maxing bus time at your expense. The aquarium, cathedral and botanical gardens are all fantastic and you should visit. But get a taxi for the same price and save yourself the drudge.

Check that the garden is open first.
Our prime reason for taking this tour was to see the botanical garden de Viera and Clavijo. We were surprised that the tour would run on Christmas Eve but was assured that the tour would run as usual. Sadly when the coach approached the garden it was clear that the car park was deserted and the garden was closed. The operator hadn’t done their homework. The rest of the tour was ok but no refund was offered. Disappointed.
Response from the operator: We are sorry that the visit to the Viera y Clavijo Botanical Garden did not take place as expected. We would like to clarify that we were not notified by the Cabildo of the closure of the Botanical Garden on Christmas Eve. The tour was therefore operated as scheduled in good faith. Once it became clear on site that the garden was closed, we immediately adjusted the itinerary and included a visit to Parque Doramas instead, managing the situation in real time so that guests would not miss out on sightseeing during the tour. The remainder of the excursion was delivered as planned. As the service itself was provided and an alternative visit was offered, a refund was not applicable in this case. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for choosing us.

For the price definitely recommended!
The tour guide did a good job! Unfortunately it was very cold for me when visiting the extinct volcano and the botanical garden, and I had to get on the bus earlier, unfortunately I didn't have a jacket with me, because I didn't know that it was colder and windier in the north of Gran Canaria! In the city of Las Palmas it was not quite so cold and windy! All in all, the trip from the south to the capital was quite interesting!

Las Palmas Tour: Vegueta, Botanical Garden & Bandama Crater: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Gran Canaria.
How much does Las Palmas Tour: Vegueta, Botanical Garden & Bandama Crater cost?
+
Prices start at $37 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Gran Canaria usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Las Palmas Tour: Vegueta, Botanical Garden & Bandama Crater take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Gran Canaria is not rushed.
Is Las Palmas Tour: Vegueta, Botanical Garden & Bandama Crater worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Gran Canaria, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Las Palmas Tour: Vegueta, Botanical Garden & Bandama Crater?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Las Palmas Tour: Vegueta, Botanical Garden & Bandama Crater suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Las Palmas Tour: Vegueta, Botanical Garden & Bandama Crater?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Gran Canaria can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Gran Canaria and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Las Palmas Tour: Vegueta, Botanical Garden & Bandama Crater start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Gran Canaria within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Gran Canaria?
+
On Outty we rank every Gran Canaria experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Puerto de Mogán: Coastal Cruise with Optional Snorkeling & Lunch, Guided tour of the Banana World, Gran Canaria Red Canyon: Small Group Tour & Local Food ツ. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Gran Canaria?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Gran Canaria?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
