Amazing experience through and through

This really was the highlight of our adventure in Peru. The early hours took some getting used to but the fantastic breakfast really made up for that. Our guide Valentin was great, he knows a lot and even though English isn’t his first language he could answer all our questions and tell us everything we needed to know. We were with a group of four people which I guess is a little on the smaller size but that definitely didn’t hurt our experience. All in all, if you’re looking for an adventure that’s still pretty doable this is a great option.

Lares to Machu Picchu trek

We had an amazing time on our tour with Valentin. He made sure everyone was doing well and feeling comfortable throughout the entire trek. He was incredibly supportive, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. He also taught us so much about local life and the culture of the area, as well as the fascinating history of the Incas, which I found especially interesting. Our chef, Mijael, was absolutely the best! We enjoyed so many delicious local dishes throughout the trek, and every meal was better than the last. There was always an amazing variety of options to choose from, and everything tasted incredible. It was honestly impressive to have such delicious and diverse meals while trekking. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and Valentin and Mijael played a huge part in making the trek so enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience on the Lares trail

We did the 4D-3N Lares trail with our 3 children, aged 12, 11 and 9 years old, and it was a once in a lifetime experience. Everything was well organized, from the briefing the night before, over transportation to and from the hike, to the visit to Machu Picchu. Our guide Yojhan was absolutely wonderful. During our travels we have met many great guides, but Yojhan plays in a league of his own. He was really kind, always checking how everyone was feeling and making sure everyone was at ease. I was worried that we were not fit enough for such a hike, but Yojhan fit the pace perfectly for our group and kept us motivated when it got tough! Along the way, Yojhan has also taught us so much about Andean culture, flora and fauna, and ancient civilizations. We even learned some Quechwa! Yojhan was also really good with our children, learning them a lot during our days together, and we are sure they will remember this experience and meeting Andean people along the way during the rest of their lives. The rest of the staff was also fantastic. Chef Sergio and assistant-chef Edison were able to cook the most wonderful dishes in the middle of nowhere. We are still amazed they managed to bake a beautifully decorated cake to celebrate the passing of the Condor pass. Finally, our porters cannot be forgotten. Without Lorenzo and Mauro, this trip simply would not have been possible. All in all, this experience was absolutely fenomenal for our family. Don't hesitate to go on an adventure of a lifetime with Alpaca Expedition (and Yojhan in particular)!

Best Lares Trek

I went with my girlfriend on the Lares trek and it was such an amazing experience with the best guide I even had (Wilber Ocon), he is friendly, smiling and knows a lot about culture, Mountain and history. Also our chef (Miguel Aranazabal) was amazing! Thank you for the experience.

Lares Valley Trek with Hot Spring 4-Day, 3-Night: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does Lares Valley Trek with Hot Spring 4-Day, 3-Night cost?

+

Prices start at $635 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lares Valley Trek with Hot Spring 4-Day, 3-Night take?

+

Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is Lares Valley Trek with Hot Spring 4-Day, 3-Night worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 679 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lares Valley Trek with Hot Spring 4-Day, 3-Night?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Lares Valley Trek with Hot Spring 4-Day, 3-Night suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 96-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Lares Valley Trek with Hot Spring 4-Day, 3-Night?

+

Around 238 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lares Valley Trek with Hot Spring 4-Day, 3-Night start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
