    Fast informative two hours

Glenn was a great guide. Very knowledgeable about the area. I appreciated being taken into a few buildings which were beautiful and I never would have gone in.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for reviewing our Tour. Yes, Glenn is a great guide and we are so glad you enjoyed the Tour. Please tell your friends - word of mouth is our best advertising.

    A day in the rain

Overall an informative and relaxed experience. The guide was very well prepared! On this downtown tour, I would also include where both the Famous Barr and Stix Department Stores were located. These were two of the most important businesses in St Louis decades ago. Also a walk down to the Eads Bridge,if possible, would also enhance the experience I believe. Seeing it only from a distance doesn't do it justice.

Response from the operator: We are so glad you enjoyed the Tour, even in the rain! Thank you for your suggestions. It is so hard to fit everything but we will certainly take this under consideration. We hope you take our West Tour sometime this season and tell your friends!

I learned about a brothel owner who kept Boatman's' Bank from Collapsing

I had a fantastic time on this tour, which covered the old courthouse, the arch grounds, the old cathedral, the railway exchange and chemical buildings among others. Warren and Sharon were very knowledgeable and its clear they love Saint Louis. They have a tremendous depth of knowledge and Sharon is an absolute hoot! I would go on this tour again!

Response from the operator: Thank you for letting us know how much you enjoyed our East Tour! Our Tours are a lot of fun and full of interesting stories. Don’t forget to take our West Tour sometime this season and tell your friends!

    Dashed hopes w this tour.

Guide wasn’t confident w her tour - big tour and she told us very little history or stories - even when questions asked. She was new, we assumed, and just didn’t have the group experience to give a vibrant tour. She was kind and thoughtful.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I’m very sorry to hear how disappointing the tour was for you. I want to sincerely apologize. This was the guide’s first time leading a tour, and it’s clear they were not as prepared or supported as they should have been, especially with such a large (14) group. We will work more closely with our new guides to ensure they are fully confident with both the material and group management before leading a tour. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Feedback like yours helps us improve, and we are sorry again that we fell short for this tour.

Landmarks Downtown-East Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for St Louis.

How much does Landmarks Downtown-East Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in St Louis usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Landmarks Downtown-East Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in St Louis is not rushed.

Is Landmarks Downtown-East Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in St Louis, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Landmarks Downtown-East Walking Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Landmarks Downtown-East Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Landmarks Downtown-East Walking Tour?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in St Louis can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in St Louis and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Landmarks Downtown-East Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central St Louis within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in St Louis?

    +

St Louis leads with Gateway Arch tram rides and riverboat cruises, then brewery tours, Forest Park museums, City Museum visits and Route 66 history runs. Arch tram tickets are timed entry, so we weight tours that secure them. On Outty we rank every St Louis experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lemp Haunted Neighborhood Walking Tour, St. Louis True Crime Tour: Soulard’s Murders, Mafia & Mayhem, Private Tour of St. Louis's Iconic BBQ Joints & Breweries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit St Louis?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in St Louis?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
