    St Louis West Tour

The guide David did a wonderful job explaining in detail the history of each building on the tour. He also brought along a handy notebook containing vintage photos showing what the buildings/streets looked like over a 100 years ago. I HIGHLY recommend anybody interested in St Louis history to take both the East and West tour even if you THINK you know a lot lol.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your excellent review of the tour! We really appreciate your feedback. Hope you tell all your friends about our tours!

Enjoyable and interesting tour of the city!

We really enjoyed the tour! All of the sights were interesting, and our guide (Dave) also knew a lot about many buildings along the route. Our city has so much history and beauty, and we could tell Dave loves the city like we do! Looking forward to more exploring!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your comments! We are so glad you enjoyed our tour and guide. There is so much to see in our city. Hope to see you on our other tour!

    St Louis West Side Tour

Being a St Louis area native I know a lot about the history of the city. However, I learned a whole lot more having a fantastic and accommodating guide like Dave from Landmark. He took us inside Union Station, the main library and the soldiers memorial among others. Dave explained in detail and handy photos he brought along the history of the west side of St Louis. After doing this tour and the St Louis East tour I highly recommend those interested in St Louis to book a tour!

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for your kind words about both our East and West Tours! We are so glad you have enjoyed both Tours. Please tell your friends and neighbors!

    Explore St Louis

We enjoyed the experience very much and plan to take in, on our own time, some of the sites we visited but didn't have enough time to explore. It was a great day for all of us. My only critique, and it's a minor one, would be that I believe there is a story to weave together there that wasn't done. It was more about the architecture than the development of a city. I'm sure there are interesting things about each site that could be woven into the story. The bit about the film Monuments Men is an example of how a larger story could be told. We plan on doing these east tour next!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your nice review, kind words and suggestions. We do try to strike a balance between discussion of architecture, history and culture, which is quite a broad reach. Enjoy the East Tour and tell your friends!

    Saturday morning exploration

Very knowledgeable guide. Small group. Comfortable pace. Learned a lot about St. Louis architecture and history even though I grew up here.

Response from the operator: We are so glad you enjoyed the Tour. Thank you for letting us know your thoughts. Don’t forget to take our East Tour on another Saturday morning this season. Tell your friends!

Landmarks Downtown-West Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for St Louis.

How much does Landmarks Downtown-West Walking Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in St Louis usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Landmarks Downtown-West Walking Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in St Louis is not rushed.

Is Landmarks Downtown-West Walking Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 60 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in St Louis, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Landmarks Downtown-West Walking Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Landmarks Downtown-West Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Landmarks Downtown-West Walking Tour?

    +

Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in St Louis can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in St Louis and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Landmarks Downtown-West Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central St Louis within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in St Louis?

    +

St Louis leads with Gateway Arch tram rides and riverboat cruises, then brewery tours, Forest Park museums, City Museum visits and Route 66 history runs. Arch tram tickets are timed entry, so we weight tours that secure them. On Outty we rank every St Louis experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lemp Haunted Neighborhood Walking Tour, St. Louis True Crime Tour: Soulard’s Murders, Mafia & Mayhem, Private Tour of St. Louis's Iconic BBQ Joints & Breweries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit St Louis?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in St Louis?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
