A good tour of the first Lake Como basin.
We enjoyed our tour on the lake. Although it only took on the first basin, there was plenty to see. It was good to be closer to the lake side than the ferries get.

NOT a great experience for me
I am a solo female traveler. I’ve traveled many countries in the past. I’ve experienced several tours. My review is not to deter you from choosing this company. I can not tell you about the boat ride, as I never made it to the boat. I acknowledge I could have done some things better to have. Hanged the outcome, and I shares them with you in the end. My review is strictly to tell you of my personal experience, in hopes to help the next traveler. I traveled to Lake Como mid September, 2026. I stayed in Domeso, far North. At this time of year, apparently, the bus and Ferries have very limited schedules. MY research revealed, it takes hours to get to the location given (by bus) so I purposely scheduled my tour late in the day for that reason. Three days prior to my boat trip, the company contacted me by what’s app to push the time up and change the location, to accommodate them. I agreed. It was my birthday, I left my hotel at 8 am and it took an hour to catch the bus, 1 hour to transfer and 1 hour to Como. I arrived in Como main stop by noon, near the train station. The tour was at 1:30. Plenty of time to find this new location, or so I thought…… HOWEVER, As soon as I got off the bus my WiFi stopped working, no maps or phone service. My WiFi, did work every where else, but not this town. I knew getting to the boat location was north east deom the train station, I felt if I followed the water/lake I should see it. I didn’t even know if I was walking in the correct direction, for sure. I saw nothing and asked everyone but I can not speak the language. So that didn’t help me. FINALLY, I walk near a place with WiFi, By the time I got internet the boat operator was able to reach me… I told him I was lost, with NO WiFi. I asked could he send the exact address, but as soon as I walked away from the hotspot… the map didn’t work. He said “stay there, I will pick you”. I waited, and sent a picture where I was. He later wrote, “No, go to the new place of the map sent” …that’s what he meant by he will pick me up. -WITHOUT WIFI, how could I follow a map link? Now I wasted even more time, but I tried anyway. In the end, I walked and ran over 5 miles and still got left. I did not get any money back. Please, don’t lose your money like I did, and spend your birthday sitting on a bus. Again, this message is not to say, who was right or wrong. This message is merely my experience and what I’d do in the future. Here’s my lessons learned: 1. Get a SIM card 2. Find out the bus and ferry schedules in advance, Also, Cabs in the North Como are also limited, and/or expensive .this time of year. If you rent a car even better, understand the roads are NOT easy to drive. 3. I received 3 different WhatsApp number notifications. There are scams, this wasn’t one of them, but please be aware. Go back always to the TripAdvisor app, to verify. How else would you know if another company found your info and is scamming you? 4, if you are asked to accommodate their (the tours) schedule, by date, location changes and or time change, you can refuse. This should mean you could get a refund, if it doesn’t accommodate you too. If you accept, then ask for the full address and what are the closest bus/cab location to get dropped off at. That’s the least they can do. I will say, the boat operator did make an attempt to pick me up. I did not realize our communication was not the same. However; he didn’t feel any obligation, if I missed the boat, he said, “ others made it… “ was the sentiment. If you find you DO NOT have a connection, and you do manage to find one … ask for this: How far am I from your location? Can I walk or do I need a cab? Ask for a walking map, NOT a map link. This is like, throwing a drowning person a lifesaver full of holes. Lastly, Lake Como is beautiful and IF, you make the boat tour there’s no doubt it will be worth it. Travel safely and wisely. Best of luck.

Nice morning on the boat
Luca was great! Unfortunately, there were not enough passengers to do the small group 2 hour trip, but the company offered to do a 1 hour private trip, instead. It was very nice and we got to see very cool properties from the water.
