Great foodies tour

Meet up point was easy to find and the guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. First stop was a local bakery for Foccacia and then nit too far away for a local delicacy made faith chick pea flower - can’t remember what it was called. Then onto the oldest restaurant in La Spezia, opened in 1905 and still in the same family. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful. Food and wine was really good, but unfortunately I was full and didn’t do justice to the spaghetti with pesto. I didn’t continue to the next stop as it was so hot and humid I was feeling a faint, so headed back to the ship.

Needs improvement

I’m sure this is usually a good tour , but I’m afraid this particular one didn’t hit the mark for us , our guide though lovely , was training two other new guides. All good but this actually made us feel like the third wheel, as she spent most of her time talking to them 😢 she also didn’t give enough history as we walked around , I realise it’s a good tour but it’s also a showcase of the town. This was lacking My food intolerance’s were not taken into account ( possible issue with communication through Viator ) but I ended up very sick and we both felt the good was below par ! Poor possibly off wine served , so all in all a lot of improvement needed

Response from the operator: Dear Helen, We are sorry that you didn’t enjoy your experience. We personally select all our guides based on certain criteria and will look into this further for you. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip. Sincerely, Eatwith Team

Excellent food tour - must do!

Fantastic tour with Sofia! Wonderful introduction to La Spezia and local foods/wine. Sofia was engaging and genuinely interested in learning about her guests. Come hungry - there is a lot of food! Recommend planning this tour early in your stay to take advantage of all the information that Sofia provided us.

Response from the operator: Hi, We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed your Eatwith experience in La Spezia. Our mission is to bring people together around food and Sofia does just that! Thanks for your great review and see you soon at another Eatwith somewhere around the world!

How long does La Spezia Cinque Terre Food Tour take?

+

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Spezia is not rushed.

Is La Spezia Cinque Terre Food Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in La Spezia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule La Spezia Cinque Terre Food Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is La Spezia Cinque Terre Food Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book La Spezia Cinque Terre Food Tour?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Spezia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Spezia and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does La Spezia Cinque Terre Food Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Spezia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in La Spezia?

+

On Outty we rank every La Spezia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include La Spezia: Taste Cinque Terre on a Food Tour by Do Eat Better, Portovenere & Three Islands Small Group Boat Tour from La Spezia, 5 Islands from La Spezia: full day boat trip with swimming stops. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit La Spezia?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in La Spezia?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
