Historic tour and around Hoian

Tony is a great guide. He will take you to little places along the way that normally one would not go to. His English is good enough to help me understand Vietnamese language and culture. I recommend this tour guide especially for the historic tour.

Must do historical visit with great guides

What a fantastic experience! Tony was a great guide, full of really interesting information that made our day. Visiting the hero mother memorial, the Ky Anh tunnels and the nearby champa tower was eye opening and having Tony there to answer our questions and put a personal perspective on Vietnamese history was an amazing plus. 5 stars

Wonderful history lesson for the whole family

Wonderful learning experience for the family with kids aged 8,11,13. The veteran answered our questions (translated by our guide) and led us through a section of the tunnels. It was short enough to have been finished by early afternoon and long enough to have time to think about the experiences of locals in the war while being in the environment where it happened.

Response from the operator: Dear Mr. Tom, Thank you so much for taking your precious time to share your experience with us. It was a pleasure to have you. We operate on trust and always make the greatest effort to deliver the most memorable moments to our special guests, from beginning to end, so that you can fully immerse yourselves in the entire journey with us. Excellent Vietnam War History Tour with Tony

We had a very impressive private tour with Tony, visiting the Ky Anh Tunnels, the Old Cham Tower, and the Heroic Mother Statue. The tour provided fascinating insights into Vietnam’s history and the impact of the Vietnam War. Tony is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He answered all our questions and shared many interesting historical details throughout the day. The comfortable, well-air-conditioned car made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning more about Vietnam’s history and culture.

Hidden gems near Hoi An

Great off the beaten track destinations from Hoi An. The Ky Anh tunnel was an excellent experience over and above Cu Chi and Cham Tower equally a huge insight of local history. We were surprised that many of the local younger generation lack awareness of these attractions. Tony, our driver, was most informative with his local knowledge, safe and careful on the challenging traffic. This tour with Tony as driver is most recommended

How much does Ky Anh Tunnel & Cham Old Tower By Private Tour History of War cost?

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ky Anh Tunnel & Cham Old Tower By Private Tour History of War take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.

Is Ky Anh Tunnel & Cham Old Tower By Private Tour History of War worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ky Anh Tunnel & Cham Old Tower By Private Tour History of War?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ky Anh Tunnel & Cham Old Tower By Private Tour History of War suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Ky Anh Tunnel & Cham Old Tower By Private Tour History of War?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

+

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
